Scheherazade VII 421	Posted - 2014.04.21 17:14:00 - [1] - Quote still the same old boring crap. every single game ive played today has been nothing but heavy and scout spam. when we were winning on an outside map the enemy team all pulled out tanks. when we were winning on an inside map the entire enemy team camped the roof. I've never seen more obnoxious infuriating gameplay than today, literally every single person is either in a 1200 armour heavy or cloaked with a shotgun or camping on a roof. this game is ******* boring and it won't change, leave this sinking ship whilst you still can. I bet they will never do anything about the bridge map where the objective is empty the whole game because both sides are sniping!

There is a definite hardcore element. Pretty much the only events that interest me now are the bonus SP events and lets just say I was rather unhappy with the bonus SP I received for the commando/sidearm event. I find I am becoming less tolerant of CCPs foibles.

You know, I decided to just play a few "fun" matches this morning before work and I was equally pissed off. I think I just don't enjoy the game as much anymore. It might be because I quit drinking. It might be because I've gotten much better and hit a plateau that I don't feel like grinding to be better at. It might be that 90% of squads I get in have SL's that just aren't strategic enough. I guess the concept of "regrouping" is just a crazy concept. I might just not like this fkn game anymore. I'm def on break until Friday at a minimum. I'll run through the bonus pool and then I'm taking a chill pill for a month and finishing Witch and the Hundred Knight, FFX, and then whatever else is on my list.

I just want to heal people with my Logi, but I can't because every map is a tank map. Big wide open maps prime ready to harass infantry. Sometimes I don't want to join a squad, I like going solo, but without tankers and someone scanning, matches suck to be honest. I find myself having to call in vehicles- fast because of my ssd- have to get it first in Ambush before some idiot calls a LAV. DOM/SKRM/FW, definately want a sqaud, but most important of all, you need the vehicles on lockdown. The tank players in DUST are ****, they won't back off unless you make em. For easy mode use a Gallente Scout- I don't use mine much, feels dirty. Way to easy, no challenge. Oh and that damn bolas needs to stop killing my dropships.

Even with alot less content. Everyday or even Hour you put into DUST, you felt you personally where getting better at the game of DUST 514. Even in Endgame competition. That magical Spark that made DUST this addicting game is gone. You don't feel as a player you have gotten better in FPS's or DUST at all after a gaming session. This is the problem. This is one of the key factors to creating a FPS game... And what FPS players thrive for in FPS games and what will often make a FPS genre player.. usually look for that specific genre when gaming. Having that feeling as a human being that your core competency is improving is fundamental to creating a First person Shooter game. Without it? Might aswell go make a whole different genre of game. We have dumbed Down DUST and made getting a kill ridiculous easy. There is no player skill or needed player improvement to excel in DUST 514... That is gone. DUST 514 just has the game progression left for any enjoyable daily gameplaty factor... So Improving your actual toon through a persistent skill system... But Improving your own personal abilities? We killed this part of DUST in September 1.4. And Dust is still struggling to recover since then. Even with awesome content additions.

I took a 3 month break, came back and diversified my playstyle. Now I don't get as mad anymore because I always have something new to do if I get bored of one thing. Also, taking a break and playing some other games helps. I highly suggest stepping back and taking a break and earn some passive SP whilst you do other things.

If you have the sound right, "tactically defending" areas is much fun with a shotgun. I miss my MW2 AA12.

I think you jsut described adaptive human survival (competitive) mentality... Came back to Dust from a break and what did I find? Cloakies with absolute invisibility which works in all situations.=(

If you havent used a shotgun, hmg,smg, or any other kind of dropsuit then change it. Or otherwise take a brake if you play to much. If you run proto gear, prepare to suffer the consequences.
