Gallente tanks are supposed to more agile than Caldari, and Caldari are supposed to be tougher nuts to crack than they are right now! Even your vehicle dev diary from a while ago said that!
Caldari and Amarr are slow, tanky, and like to fight from range. Gallente and Minmatar are fast, regenerative and like to destroy you from close-medium range. ^In general, there are exceptions
I demand you hotfix this tomorrow, or else the Cat Overlord will steal Wolfman's lamb. And you do not want to see Wolfman without his honeyed lamb.

Complex EVE tech was what the original tanks had a little of. It was eliminated completely to have simple, but cute tanks that the New Berries would buy AUR versions of. Since their constant reduction of ISK payouts it is nearly impossible to make a profit if you are less than the top three or four players in a match. Adding the complexity of EVE tech to a system that doesn't let you make a profit seems like getting stabbed in the stomach as well as the back. To me anyway. Just a note, that armor buff was just an addition of 20HP to all plates, because armor was proven to be the weaker tank.
Shield tankers are in a much better situation right now than armor tankers were before the armor buff lol

That's what currently is the case, but CCP has repeatedly made statements to suggest that things should be as Cat Merc is explaining them. Link or it didn't happen. The way it is right now is good, the alliances have both a faster maneuverable member and a slower tankier member. Making am cal slow and tanky and gal min fast an agile just wouldn't make sense. Gallente are armor tankers, so they are naturally slower and less maneuverable than the shield tanking caldari. That's the way armor and shields work, armor is much stronger, shields weigh less. You can make a gal vehicle much faster than a caldari one by fitting a nos to it, (Without sacrafising tank) something that would take away from a cal vehicles tank. What your suggesting is taking away the one slight advantage cal vehicles have and giving it to the gal. Its stupid. Look at their medium suits, cal are faster (shields) so they can hit and run, gal are slower (armor) but have a much higher tank. There is no reason to change anything, its good enough as it is. (Although shield mods like regulators could use a buff, and vehicles could use the local power diagnostic back) I smell tons of butthurt. You do realize that it will entail a full rebalance of the two vehicles? Not just changing the agility?
Besides, it DOES make sense, Gallente invested heavily into making armor that is, while tough, is also lightweight.

Then they introduced the Scramble Rifle and we all watched shields disappear. And we had the Flaylock pistol. Followed by the Combat and Rail rifles. Don't forget they gave some power back to laser rifles as well. All of which melt shields. The highest level shield awards +66HP while the highest armor is +115 (I think). While the bump was 20 the total makes the situation clear. Shields are targets in Dust. Also, we are talking about drop suits tanking right? Cause tanks are a different story, although still not a good one. Uhhh, Rail Rifle and Combat Rifle are both anti armor, you do know that right?
And sure, you get less HP per extender, but armor does not regenerate and makes you slower.
That's two big things that people forget when they compare the two, and I want to slap people when they just compare HP numbers of extenders and plates and say "hurr durr, armor is definitely better".

today's Maddy-Fit's have their high-slots rather free for a Fuel-Injector and do normally fit it - so they are fast - and since they out-regenerate Shield Tanks with ease and without regen-delay - they are rather regenerative.
also, Gunnie is the way to go for stacking HP and damage-reduction - so they are the rather more tanky tanks - while they also fit a Fuel-Injector less often in their important high-slots. so that they get a better acceleration and turning-agility is such a bad thing?
nah, C'monSrslyBro/Cat... . Come back to me when the fuel injector speeds up your turning speed. Because right now, it's as fast as a titan.
