Yer immobile with the breech. A sitting duck. A tank can fire, how may times a second? Many times a second, with I might add nearly the same lethality that a single breech forge can deliver in one shot. Your breech can fire only 1.4 times a second. And that tank gun? It's damage per round will kill you many, many times over before you get off your second round with the breech forge. Yer dead and that thank is moving on to another kill.
Yeah... NEXT!

Ooops....! Gasp! Did I say "1.4 times per second"!? Oh... my... fookin.. gawd.... How rude of me. I should have been more precise. That.s one breech round every 1.4 seconds. Eyeah. Standing there. Immobile. Unable to move. In the open. With that dastardly tank reigning lethal fire upon you. Fer one point four fookin seconds. My bad. |

Swarms are a good example with the changes as they are actually lethal for a tanker now. That sustained fire of missiles coming in and not being able to out repair the damage fast enough has made swarms viable again.
I Frequently get 3k+ warpoints fighting tanks for a round with the new damage mechanic.. It also motivates me to have an anti vehicle fitting always ready to score a few extra war points.
Forges are all about that burst damage surprise mode. So when you are charged call in your Squad mate with AV grenades or some kind of AV to move in close to the tank to finish them off after you let the first shot go, Or plant a bunch of proxi's on their escape exit then bait him to run that way with forge gun fire...
The AV game hasn't been in this good of a place for 5-6 months.
So they increased AV grenade damage and dispersed blasters, this is after they took a grenade away and nerfed damage mods. Swarms remain unchanged, FG is unchanged, tank armor reps unchanged, tank nitro unchanged. So how has the AV situation changed for the better?
Because, that's why.

Doesn't really bother me. It goes towards the squad warbarge strike gain, so I'm cool with it.

is it swarms of 1.5? hell no.... Can a tanker alternate hardners and sit there and tank several swarms for a minute? Hell no!
Other then running for their life as a defense what can they do?
Good tankers that can survive with consistency are just good players.... They would be hard to kill in whatever you put them in.
It's actually possible to tank through Swarm Launchers for an indefinite period of time with certain fittings. As for defense, Shield Boosters and Armor Repairers work as well as utilizing cover.
Have you ever used an HAV to the point where you would actually know what your talking about (in terms of what HAVs can and can't do), or did you simply come to the conclusion that Swarms are viable after popping a few Battle Academy scrubs with bad fits?
Amarrians would prefer you be faithful. I'd rather you be logical.

I find that to be fair; maxed skills vs maxed skills should be something like that.
Maxed Skills vs. Maxed Skills should come down to a result of player skill. If 'maxed-out' tankers can win every time against a 'maxed-out' AVer (Triple Rep Madrugar vs. Wyrikomi/Ishukone Assault SL), then it is a "win button".
Since you believe that Maxed Skills vs. Maxed Skills should become a win button for the tanker, may I put you on the Spkr list?

Harpyja's sometimes reasonable, sometimes not. Taki and Spkr are consistently unreasonable. Harpyja =/= Spkr, Taki
