After playing around with the bolt pistol and realizing how awesome it can be, I want a light weapon version of it; no, the rail rifle is not what I'm looking for because the rate of fire is too high, and the damage is too low. I have also been craving a weapon like Killzone 2 & 3's bolt gun (click for brief video), which is very rewarding of good aim. I propose there should be a new light weapon added called the boltgun (or some cooler name) to fulfill my pew pew desires.

I realize Caldari already have a ton of weapons (rail rifle, sniper rifle, magsec, bolt pistol, nova knives, swarm launcher, forge gun) while some other races have a very limited selection (Amarr have just 3), but I think this should happen eventually.

Basically a light weapon version of the bolt pistol with more range, and a much bigger magazine.

Race: Caldari

Slot: light weapon

Damage profile: hybrid-rail (-10% to shields / +10% to armor)

Accuracy: same as bolt pistol

Range (optimal/effective): 60/85 meters standard

Damage: 135 standard; same as bolt pistol

Rate of fire 150 rounds per minute; same as bolt pistol

Recoil: very high while hipfiring, but very low while aiming down sight; same as bolt pistol

Spool-up time: 0.25 seconds; same as bolt pistol

Magazine size: 18 rounds

Projectile travel time (meaning you have to lead the target at longer ranges, much like the forge gun)

Would make a very fun DMR-like weapon.

EDIT: Since a tactical rail rifle is probably already planned, I'd settle for that. What I am asking for is automatic and has travel time, but tacticals are semi-automatic though (and I doubt a rail rifle would have travel time), but I would settle for a tactical rail rifle if the rate of fire is around the same as the bolt pistol.
