The ADV are stupid. They allow you to put down 4 but only carry 3. Wtf??? Now where the fk am I suppose to get that 4th remote? It makes sense that you start with 3, can carry 4, and deploy 4.
Buff remotes. I need to blowz up tankz. |

You can mix stuff like Rokkit Launcha, or with Busta Grenades and then put the Remotez.

It's not so simple as running to a supply depot when you're stood on top of a Madrugar trying to make sure your REs don't glitch to the sides and miss the hull.
There is not a single practical reason why advanced REs are worth equipping. Neither anti infantry nor anti vehicle is better with them. The only exception is if you are planning on laying a trap on the path of a tank, and have a resupply available. But in that case you're better off with proxies, so it's redundant anyway.

alot of suits don't have 2 equipment slots for a hive + RE's even if they did it kind fo takes away alot of the advantage when you need to drop a hive just to get your 4th explosive, it's alot like if you could have 500 bullets in your hmg, but only started with 250, would you tell the heavy to use a hive? or would you tell ccp to fix it.
also since the difference between advanced RE's and basic RE's is just how many active re's you can have out, I do honestly believe he's right in expecting you to at least start with that RE being carried.
this RE count made sense when the diference between levels also included a larger blaster radius and/or more damage.
anyway that's my two cents I don't really care, but it is fairly pointless speccing into explosives when the basic RE's are better then advanced and complex level's RE's due to the lesser cpu and pg and no beneficial factor to using complex. |

Arming time is quicker on the upper levels, vital if you're quickly laying traps or trying to blow your remotes on a tank.
Boundless gives you 4 remotes...it's actually the difference in killing a tank or merely wounding it. Also means you can kill 2+ heavies if you're smart.
Is it worth the CPU/PG? Really depends what your doing with them, if you merely throw them down on objs then no. But if you want that extra punch or slightly faster arm time than yes.

Arming time is not faster for higher tier RE
Have tryed it countless times.
There is no need whatsoever to use anything higher than standard RE. The CPU/PG/ISK investment is just not worth it.

I find Adv RE's set quicker. Good for laying quick traps at a moments notice. Though I admit the difference is not great it can make a difference in a tight spot

Edit: Also remotes need there damage examined vis-a-vis the sentinel resistance. Maybe then think about remotes doing extra damage.
remotes also need to stop the noise. It's a annoying sneaking up on a tank laying down your first remote and he just runs away cuz he herd it. You can literally hear therm from 10-15 m away.
Also, it's just stupid that a tanker can hear remotes through 4000 armor, and tank engine noise. |
