There are two possible problems with cloakers being invisible. It's not always bad eyesight.
This provides a solution to the more common problem. |

If you have good eyesight and your TV is actually set up properly for gaming, the closest I've had an actually invisible Scout - EVEN WHEN THEY'RE STANDING STILL - is closer to 50m than 40m. |

Even on my laptop screen where I can't adjust the colour and contrast settings to where I'd have them on my TV, they're visible.
Quote:another one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSBICx2yyZo => full sprint cloaked scouts, invisible at around 50m ranges, the range you claim you can "see" scouts standing still. fun fact: you would not even notice them if there were no shadow thrown on the ground by terrain for a color transition or when you would not see them cloaking beforehand. There's one example in Judge's video where at around 50m, a sprinting cloaked Scout is in an absolutely perfect environment for the cloak to be as hard to see as possible, and is really hard to see with intermittent periods of actual invisibility, and that appears to be a bug which occasionally occurs with sprinting Scouts where the shimmer effect doesn't register.
Since, as I keep saying, BUGS AREN'T RELEVANT TO A BALANCE DISCUSSION, that "point" you're trying to make is pointless. I've so far been fortunate enough not to run into anyone exploiting that glitch outside of point-blank range, by which point I'm already close enough to see them quite easily even without the shimmer. But yes, I am willing to accept that - WHEN EXPLOITING GLITCHES, some cloaked players are doing things they shouldn't be able to do within the confines of the cloak's intended operation.
Judge's video also shows him referring to his 4th screenshot at the end, pointing out how the cloaked Scout is "completely invisible" while pointing an arrow to the wrong part of the screen when the ACTUAL Scout is plainly visible to someone who knows what they're looking for on the opposite side of the crosshairs to where he's pointing. |

Without referring back to the video, Scout's on the right.
