I use a burst HMG and shred the pathetic bastards. They do however annoy me because they suck, they know it, and they make no effort to rectify it. Why else would you use terrible tactics(HMG guy!? CHARGE HEAD ON!) and have aim so bad that they can't kill me when they get the drop on me? They know their aim is crap, so they just pray the other guy will have to reload before he chews them in half. Seriously, it's sad. make them use the gun the suit was designed for, or GTFO to the smaller suits that would fit their microscopic genitals. I like the heavy because of the heavy guns. I am generally one of two things: Heavy weapons guy, or sneaky overwatch guy. the gun just happens to come with a nice suit. Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

Seriously if someone is near you nothing shreds corridors like a HMG. If you are at range nothing ragdolls suits like a forge gun. It's like when suits carry double sidearms, it's not optimal, it's just what people like to do sometimes. The commando still gets a flat damage boost and a secondary light weapon to boot. This provides a lot of powerful combos that a sentinel can't match. Caldari Rail Rifle and Sniper, Amarr Assault Scram and LR, Gallente AR with a potato cannon, Minnie MD and CR, there are pretty decent combos it's just Commandos are flanker/support type suits let the sentinel tank. There's nothing OP about someone picking the slowest suits with a massive hitbox and then gimping themselves by not using the heavy slot for a heavy weapon.

The heavy dropsuit is make to be able to weild heavy weapons there is no good reason that it would have issues with any light weapon.

If i remember correctly a Dev has replied to a post like this saying some thing along the lines of they will consider then when all the heavy weapons are out untill then things are going to stay the same. if heavys should loose their side arm then the heavy weapon reload speed will need to be cut in half to compinsate. I don't even know why I bother.
