Ok, before I am banned yet again for being a "troll to ccp and the community" I'll reiterate what some of you have already wisely stated.
Please release the rest of the content for this game ASAP. Dust has been painfully incomplete for far too long, and player base won't grow (meaning more potential income and more support for Dust) unless it has the bulk of its content finally playable.
Release the remaining suits, vehicles, game modes, PVE options, and open up the damn maps and increase players per match so vehicles can be viable and not crowd the maps - ahem, tank spammers. It'd be nice to see ADV and PRO vehicles
(or at least de-nerf my CreoDron Methana! Why's was it ninja nerfed in the first place... It was the closest thing I had to an ADV LAV ffs... hell, even the paint job was nerfed. Now just a vanilla Methana with a different color insignia and a slightly brighter share of barf green)
Not that they're all bad, I actually saw a well coordinated tank convoy recently as opposed to the more common MLT tank spaming scrubbie. The problem for them was that the map was too small for them to really be effective and of course the lack of infantry on the ground.
Worry about balancing after this game is finally COMPLETED. There will be time to balance afterwards, trust me. As of now, the game is in a non-stop buff/nerf blender with, sometimes, months of wasted time in between. It's ridiculous and solid player base has been siphoning out of Dust ever since.
While there are some glaring imbalances that should be addressed immediately (scrubbery such as but not limited to: heavy suits with light weapons, bricked logi-assaults, the over-potential of MLT tanks, and now - bricked wannabe scouts, and that's coming from a long time scout user who uses them "as intended") the rest can be dealt with later. Fix the big bugs/imbalances and finish the rest of the game. |

Dust will never be completed, its a long term constantly evolving project like Eve. The more content they add the more combinations they have to contend with when balancing, so if they don't do it now they probably won't be able to ever. The only viable option is to get a basic set of content reasonably well balanced, then balance new content against the old base as it is released.
The player base isn't "siphoning out of Dust" either. According to Eve Offline 's 12 month chart player numbers have been slowly growing since December, and were pretty much stable for a couple of months before that.
Finally, new content is almost certainly on the way. Its only 3 weeks to Fanfest and its pretty obvious that CCP will have something to announce for us then.

They just released a bunch of dropsuits and weapons and added cloaks. It hasn't even been a month since this massive drop. Fan fest is just around the corner. Perhaps we should hold off on threads like these until they reveal their plans for the untrue of dust |

This is already known to CCP and to the rest of the community. And since Fanfest is almost here, our CPM representatives will probably be able to get us some more information on Dust than what would be mentioned on the Dust keynotes.

Wow, that is not what I have seen on those charts recently. In fact they show exactly the opposite since 1.8 was dropped. A dramatic down tick is what I would say. What we don't see is how many players are like I am currently? Not playing, just getting 6K SP per day and waiting for something good to happen versus cringing at the bad? I don't plan on playing except for the 3x event, until whatever they announce at fan fest hits. I have several friends that have stopped getting the 6K, they want me to send the mail when there is something worth checking out.
As far as new content beware of what you ask for. CCP has stated just recently they are focusing on VR and not just Valkyrie.
http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/215177/For_CCP_virtual_reality_is_EVEs_next_frontier.php
It is well known that I am a cynic of some note in particular with regard to CCP and CCP/Shanghai. But my grain of salt here is what are the odds there will be any good news for Dust? Not high, although I expect a new big push from CCP regarding VR and not just Valkyrie. But definitely not Dust besides more of the same; Promises with nothing delivered and more bugs while not fixing existing problems. Same old, same old.
Hopefully they will try to prove the cynic wrong.
And so it goes.

What actually is the "missing content"?
Based on what i've read plus what i could extrapolate based on what has been released so far:
*Remaining racial light AV (3 missing) *Remaining racial heavy AV (3 missing) *Remaining SMG class sidearms (2 missing) *Remaining light Melee (3 missing) *Remaining heavy Melee (Based on a rumour, apparently the Amarr melee weapon can open tanks??? 4 missing) *Medium frame revamp (CCP Devs stated they didn't have time to look at them this time around.) *Remaining racial LAVs (6 missing) *Remaining racial HAVs (6 missing) *Remaining racial DS (8 missing including Assault) *M-Tacs. *MAVs. *Jets.... *Remaining Vehicle Modules (just exactly how many were removed for "tweaking"?) *Remaining Dropsuit classes (pilot suit and possibly the second Scout variant) *Player Market and Manufacturing. *Full complement of PvP game modes (Seriously, where are the assault and retrieval modes that EVERY other fps i've played has?) with High-Low Sec gradings, rank lockouts, and payouts based on risk. *Proper NPE, with basic operation guides/missions, leading into role-based ones. *Full Contract system. (Eve contracts, Corporate contracts, NPC contracts) *PvE (from NPC contracts) with full compliment of PvE game modes and free-roam (just derping, mining, shooting wildlife for fun and profit). *A dedicated "Beginners" channel already available from character creation, rather than relying on pure chance to come across one, or needing to find the forums.
I've probably missed some, and some i've listed are probably just wishlisting, but yeah. I would consider ^that^ a complete game. And a damn fine one.

How about a game where the basic functionality of the game itself is not Broken. Hit detection, Z mapping that is correct (target behind building), guns that work (Forge Guns, Large Rail Guns, Large Missiles, Large Blasters, Shot guns (on and off really) and the list goes on ...) and a game that will only rarely crash or disconnect you*.
This is not mentioning the long lamented Players Market so the nearly useless rewards could be foisted off onto others.
Even with your list getting completed there is a lot left to finish. Just sayin.
* or if the player gets disconnected the equipment is not deleted. I know, what an optimist.
And so it goes.

Yes it would. All I can think that your list might be missing is putting interactivity between pilots and dusties in stations. Common areas where you can walk around, rather than being confined to your quarters. And a VR training area. |

We've (I included) been pulling for this sort of thing since chromosome, assuming Shanghai would somehow demonstrate the capability to really work day after day on updates. But what I've found is that CCP Shanghai takes more holidays off than any other developer known to man.
From a realist's perspective, It's going to take a long time for actual new gamemodes to come out, even with the 2 years we've been waiting so far for it.
Infact, (for vehicles) We've had more taken away from us than given to us since chromosome. Used to have logi dropships & Advanced/proto tanks, but they've removed them for "updating" and its really been quite a while for them to "update" them, but there's still absolutely no new news on their progress with these vehicles.
Tankers are being diagnosed with a new disease; Cancer of the Assault Dropship.
Many of them don't survive.

If we go by basic things that should be added then the list is a little much no?
Taking away the specialization classes like scout LAVS, ADS, and MTanks its just a matter of adding the basic racial variants for each class of weapon/vehicle. First CCP needs to lay the groundwork by adding the remaining light/heavy AV and the 2 remaining racial DS/LAV/HAV then they can focus on the specials ADS/SLAVs/MHAVS ( the marudaurs ).
There's just so much missing though :/ I don't know if they should add it in one go or over time because even if he had the groundwork for the specilization vehicles laid out we'd still need to figure out how the weapons would work. But at the very least it'd be much easier to start balancing once that groundwork is in place and then CCP could start reintroducing the maraudars ( for some reason i cant get the spelling down :/ ) and what nots.
melee weapons should be added either in one go or put low on the list since it isn't something that important right now. The suits are already complete we have the basics and special frames so they don't need to be focused on as much ( unless it's balancing ). Weapons/vehicles imo should be the MAIN focus then special vehicles/heavy weapons.
Sorry if what i write doesn't make too much sense got a mini headache over here

That is a perfectly reasonable request. My list is only what i remember of what was stated to be in the works, or at least planned. But you are entirely correct; as it stands, the game is rubbish. Cool, yes, but mechanically still rubbish.
I really want this game to work. Unfortunately, by the time it is at a state where it doesn't alternate between Alpha and Beta states depending on the number of truly crippling bugs and R'tarded oversights.... Someone else will have already done it better.
Now i'm going to drop a controversial statement here, like a steaming pile of turd on the neighbor's lawn, and walk away:
The development team is a bunch of no-talent jack-offs. It doesn't matter how much arse Rouge kicks, if the pool of talent he has available to him is the muddy, **** filled leavings of the developer community, then he has no chance of meeting even the 10yr plan.
Shouting doesn't make your opinion seem more valid, it just makes you seem more annoying.
