My Flux and RE equipped Dragonfly makes pretty quick work of all shield tanked vehicles, and the armor tanked guys run away pretty quickly after seeing their HP drop. Stop crying about A/V. Considering how you can see the player placing the REs on, hear the REs being armed, and even scan the REs, that's only going to work against the bad tankers.

And I, and most others, can't really do anything about it............ Thats the main thing I got from your post...seems like you playing solo and being stuck with crappy teams that just cower in fear of tanks and anything else that shoots them. I didn't have spare SP but I earned some SP and skilled into forges cause I wanted to blow up tanks adv still wrecks tanks doesn't take a lot to get to adv...I'm blowing up tanks now. Sometimes I can blow them up just by myself cause 1.7 brought a lot of terrible tankers..when I cant I ask a friend to come and help me do some tank busting. So you should probably run with a good squad or at least 1-2 other people you know like to fight back instead of taking easy ways out. This game isn't meant to be soloable and you shouldn't wine when you try to solo everything and end up face first into the ground cause you cant solo everything. When you solo don't expect any type of support cause you are not getting it. So how many people does it take to operate a vehicle again?

Its almost like you're saying I shoulden't try because it might be hard. No I'm saying you shouldn't try that because it would never work on me, or anyone who has an IQ greater than 10.

Reload bonus allows youto reload before shields start regenning, and Dmg bonus makes individual missiles stop shield regen. Best part is even with std swarms you can stop shields thx to only thing changing being missile count. Also, swarm Op decreasing lock times is almost necessary. Fun Fact:
The Maximum amount of extra damage you can achieve with a Minmatar Commando running Damage Modifiers is 19.56%, while you could get an extra 26.38% damage in 1.7 from Damage Modifiers alone. Your actually dealing less damage than you did before the update.
Please refrain from calling it a buff when it's actually a nerf.
PS, The thing that allows Swarm Missiles to stop shield regen is the fact that they nerfed Shield Hardeners down to 40%.

True Adamance wrote: Yeah because its fine to punish tankers for being good at what they do and not sucking? Dude eventually you are going to have to realize that players from pre 1.7 who were successful ......myself included cannot be nerfed, you can reduce our stats and I will still find ways to go 20/0 in matches.
Who's asking to punish tankers? (Well, in this instance anyways).
Considering how the only build I've ever played where an enemy tanker didn't die was 1.7, I'm going to dismiss your statement.
As it assumes that there is a subset of the vehicle community that is better than the entire Anti-Vehicle community. Not only is that claim arrogant and generally untrue, it's easily dismissible.

Tebu Gan wrote: You also fail to realize the imbalances gear makes. I know people hate PC, namely because they can't break into it, but it is a good basis for balance.
Why?
Because the only differences between teams are the skill and tactics they use. Everyone WILL be running the best of the best, much unlike the typical pub match.
Who says I hate PC? if it weren't for the fact that most of the good players in my corp quit, we'd probably be fighting the Doughnut right now as we speak.
That still doesn't change the fact that if you balance around Planetary Conquest, it would force nearly the entire playerbase to play an imbalanced game for the sake of about 3-500 people.
Although, balancing on a 1v1 scale wouldn't really break things for either PC, FW, or PUBs.
