As simple as that, do you guys know what happens when a scout sees "You have been scanned"? they either run away to swap to a more dampened suit, run away and quit the game in a safe spot, or go off as far away from the scanner as they can (lets go sniping). Scouts, and I mean any scout, should have the potential to be free of being scanned, with gallente scouts needing less or even, no dampener mods.
After you guys understand what it's like seeing that thing burnt on top of your TV screen as a scout, then I'll take your views into account, because right now you just won't understand. Being seen on the radar as a scout is the worst of the worst, unless we're talking brick tank AR scouts. Understand, every other scout relies on stealth, and scanners completely destroy that. |

Even my free dragonfly suit doesn't get scanned... Forget about the main suit....

Seriously dude, you just need to run a single profile dampener in your low slots. That's it. I don't know what you are putting in there, but you just need a single mod. Toss the armor plate, lose the kin cat, drop the codebreaker, whatever. Save one low slot for the dampener. Use it.

GalScout with a couple of Complex Dampeners can be invisible to scanners, but a CalScout with passive scans can still pick them up. Cloaked GalScouts, or heavily dampened ones, can disappear completely against any attempt to detect them.
It should be possible for a scanning-focused Logi with an Active Scanner AND modules fitted to augment it (which requires there to be modules which affect the stats of Active Scanners) to pick up a cloaked non-dampened or a dampened non-cloaked Scout without having to fully proto themselves up. |

1 enhanced dampener and a cloak*, OR 1 complex and 1 enhanced dampener on a Gal-Scout with max skills cannot be scanned. Even by Gal-Logi with focused Scanner or Cal-Scout with 4 complex precision enhancers

Agreed. No scout has to rely on dampeners to have a good game, especially minmatar.

Then you're doing a **** poor job at conveying that message. I suggest updating either the title or the main body to reflect exactly what you mean. At first glance you make it seem that scouts shouldn't be detected in general (as in at all).

It already has a counter. It's called a cloak. They may show up on Radar, but still hard to see with the naked eye.
Also, a scanner doesn't protect you in the slightest from the scouts (or anyone else) from shooting at you. Dampeners and the cloak however certainly prevent people from shooting at you by virtue of not knowing where the hell you are located.
It makes the scout close to god-mode invulnerability. You people complained with your shrill tremolous voices how tanks were "god mode" because you practically couldn't hurt them. How hypocritical of you to propose that scouts should be pretty much the same thing (but rather than having impenetrable protection you propose that they should be virtually invisible to everything).
If cloaked scouts shouldn't have a counter, then neither should my tanks. |

You kinda just upped the stupid level. Cloaks are pointless if you can be scanned. I can see cloaked scouts quite easily with my eyes. The ones with red tags over their heads are so adorable.
God mode? Get a clue will ya? Im dropping scouts (cloaked and uncloaked) every game with my militia smg - if this is your god then you are weak!
Scouts have a counter, pretty much every weapon in the game.
