I think when the dropship cockpit is empty the dropship should autohover. Allowing people to place mobile cru's on key parts of the map.. (until they get shot down!!) Plus it would make the perfect gun platform.
I love the smell of orbital support in the morning!!!

Like, "Gravitational Stabilizer" or some shit.

you do realize that as soon as some random blue spawns in and sees an empty pilot seat of that perfectly placed permalink, it WILL get piloted into the nearest solid surface because they knew of a better place it could be.  |

Perhaps make it a "Siege" module, where the ship cannot move, but gets a major hardening bonus, rate of fire bonus, repair bonus, just like in eve.

In a competitive match it'll be destroyed in two jiggles of a jackrabbits ass, in public it'll be stolen faster!! No reason to fear a change like this..

also crus only work if someone is inside of it
and vehicle locks would be near mandatory for this or it woulfd be like
im sitting their defending an objective lotty daughty dahh "wait why am i moving" then spllooosjhhahadjfajs ahhh the pain

The part about siege mode in eve that makes it hard to use is that you CANT deactivate it, so you have to wait it out, so a group of av can easily get you
