I'm starting to wonder why the few weapons dubbed as gallente/caldari/matar/amarr in the game don't really seem.....well like their race.
The plasma cannon and ion pistol are the farthest thing from what I would see as gallente by far, as much as I love my plasma cannon the low ammo, slow projectile, long range weapon doesn't make me go 'hey it must be gallente'.
Scrambler pistol seems more gallente then the ion in it's workings.
Isn't the smg supposed to be burst as a base, not as an alternative?
Just a few things that nagg at the back of my head.
Just a thought.

I don't think that's quite the correct term. It turned up in one chart as a side thing. That does not mean it was 'meant' to be added in 1.8. We've had this many, many times before. STD ASCRs, for instance.
