Just use the risk vs reward philosophy. BPO's will still be unlimited, but you don't get as much ISK back when running them...

That's not the point.
The point is that further proliferation (aka seeding) of BPOs in the market is what threatened to make an imbalance in the market. Since there are no more BPOs being seeded into the market via the primary NPC market*, the impact made by any BPOs that are currently in player inventory will likely be unnoticeable at most.
Eve Online has a similar case with Tech 2 BPOs (a bit of a long story here) but in the end current market in Eve Online is not even impacted by these Tech 2 BPOs due to how so few of them are in circulation.
Besides, in Dust, these BPOs are only militia or STD/Basic gear at best. So they won't make much of an impact (if any) to the Dust secondary market.
* - There are BPOs offered as recruitment rewards when you recruit new players but they are hard to get and current player retention is making it very difficult to achieve. However, I suspect those will eventually change once player retention improves and as CCP comes up with better offers for rewards.

Problem is, single user BPOs dont work that way in EVE. BPO only ensures that you need less investment than buying a blueprint copy.
In DUST they are basically UNLIMITED MONEY.

In DUST they are basically UNLIMITED MONEY. Are you going to run around in a Dragonfly assault suit with a bunch of militia bpos on the fitting to run a free suit? May as well run a starter fit, it amounts to the same thing. Has anyone suggested removing starter fits? Honestly think about this, because it really is the exact same thing running free fit over a Starter fit, with some limited customization.

The people who got BPOs likely got them during or just shortly after the brutal bugfest that was closed beta. I think we more than earned not having to pay for a small selection of MLT/STD gear.

I do, sometimes. Other times I use my standard Raven/Valor/Sever/Templar gear complete with Exile/Toxin ARs, Templar SCR, Templar Dropuplink, Toxin/Syndicate SMG.
All of which, by the way, are Standard tech. So I'm saving plenty of money by running an all BPO fit and have the power of standard gear to back it. Since dropsuits and weapons are the most expensive parts of any fit, you could outfit it with enhanced/advanced gear and still come out on top.
If CCP made the decision to take away BPOs, I wouldn't complain. I don't think they belong in the game and certainly should have never gone higher than militia, but they did.

MLT gear is always artifically gimped.
I run STD like 70% of the time. There is a huge difference between MLT guns and suits and STD guns and suits.

suits and weapons, yes. MLT is gimped.
Militia mods, however, should ALWAYS be ran instead of basic if you can spare the fitting costs. BPO or no, it's just plain cheaper with no downside.
The only MLT suit I liked running was the skinweave logi. Now that scouts have two equip slots the dragonfly scout is taking on that role.

I bought bpos because I didn't wanna restock. I'd rather have isk auto-deducted then have to go back to restocking all the time..

When (IF) the industrial side of dust is implemented (insert idea here), then BPO seeding will no longer be an issue. until then, don't count on it.
Give DUST514 some direction.
