Right now Forge guns misfire a lot due to an un-addressed 1.8 bug, my ishokune assault forge misfires every other shot so whatever estimates you get right now are not going to be accurate. Just FYI. |

Knowing CCP, they might do a pre-emptive nerf to vehicles or a buff to the forge gun without having accurate statistics. Better now and get accurate statistics than wait for who knows how long. At least that's what happened back in beta. People were only using militia and standard AV, advanced was uncommon, and prototype was rare. People cried tanks were OP and so CCP nerfed tanks and buffed AV. Guess what; once people finally got to prototype AV, they were easily soloing tanks all the time. And this is what we had throughout Uprising. Chromosome was probably the best balance, but people just didn't use advanced and proto AV as much.
He's not talking about balance. The Forge Gun as of 1.8 misfires every other shot on the Assault and Breach variants. The normal only misfires about every 4 shots but it's not the variant that is typically used for Tanking busting. Getting any Time sensitive observations will be pointless because the gun is currently glitched. If it's not time sensitive, you can just pull the data on the weapons and tanks and do mathematical comparisons. There's no point to experimenting with a Forge/Tank relation right now with Forge Guns being glitched.
To elaborate on Misfire: It's like how when uprising first hit, the forge gun charges up and has the blast from the end of the Forge gun, but no ammo is used and no rail blast comes out of the gun.
Edit: I myself rarely tank bust now just because nothing is more annoying then when you get a Tank on fire and my assault decides to misfire twice in a row letting them get away. |
