This whole thread is kind of a joke.

"We just want to help build the community".
Yeah locking down one of the 3 modes on Dust so that you can pad your wallets is clearly someone out to have fun and build the community.
Im going to go with what someone else said; You guys locked down the competitive mode of Dust, and now your tryhards are sitting idle or getting the corp name hated on in Pubs. So this way you can keep them active, while pretending that you are doing everyone else a favor.
You guys get your intense PC style gameplay with no risks to your cash cow. Everyone else gets the slim chance of a payout that might cover their suit losses. Might.
its a perfect deal for AE; They get all the gameplay they want with none of the risks, and their competitors get all of the risk with none of the reward. |

As stated in the OP we will not apologize for attempting to conquer all the planets in a game mode called GÇ£Planetary ConquestGÇ¥. We understand that several corporations found that they were unable to be competitive once they could no longer abuse an Exploit and district locking was finally fixed but that is an issue to be addressed with CCP not us.
There are currently several corporations that Q-sync Faction warfare. The only difference is that we are telling you were and when and offering additional compensation. You can come fight us or you can run away.
Your choice.
Meta-Game it however you would like.

Pubs were meant to be a playground, FW semi- competitive and PC the competition mode, now the corps. broke PC, takeover FW and use pubs to pad their kdr and pubstomp. This doesn't seem like it's for the good of the game to me.

Which is exactly why AE is doing this. Pub matches against new players in militia or basic can get old quite quickly. The payout that is offered is to encourage opponents to use their high end gear in the matches.
The format of this is to resemble the payouts offered for winning a PC battle and nothing more or less. This is not about paying people to play AE members.
Again, you can choose to see this as a fun thing where you can gain experience for you corp members and FCs with only the cost of the equipment you use (and the chance of getting a payout) or you can sit on the forums and try to find the bad in everything.

AE is not commited to any particular faction for this. If players want to play for a specific faction, just let us know and we would be glad to pick the opposing one.

Care to explain why or is this just another complaint without basis?
Situation as it is
- AE and DNS are not going away. They will be in pubs and fw regardless
- PC is going to be stagnant until CCP makes some radical changes (hopefully coming with next named build)
- Aside from the scenario proposed, you would receive the same meager payouts for pub/fw matches
- Without PC, you will see more corps queue syncing in FW anyway
This isnt just supposed to be AE either. We fully encourage all corps to set up queue syncs against others in FW. All we are doing is trying to get the ball rolling by offering an incentive to put your teams together. Either take the initiative and try to have some fun or sit there and complain. The choice is yours.

- During this period of time we will be offering 32 Million ISK (2 Million per player) to any corporation, team, or group of players whom is able to defeat a 16 player team of ours. Victory can be by either Clone or MCC destruction.
- The Event is limited to a total 4 losses for the grand total of 128 Million ISK.
- Any ISK not handed out to competing teams will be rewarded to AE players whom participated (i.e if we donGÇÖt lose 4 times our players get the balance of ISK )
- We will be entering matches at random will not be q-syncing against any specific opposing teams
- Players currently in DNS or Negative Feedback at the time of this post are not eligible for the reward. This event is intended for those outside of current PC to test and prove themselves. DNS & NF corps have other means to do this.
- Our Planetary Conquest duties come first and we may, if attacked during this time reallocate our forces to any events that require it and return to this event once complete
I encourage any groups whom feel they would like to test themselves against a top tier PC team, have a grudge against AE, or simply want a chance at a little extra ISK to put together a team and compete against us. We look forward to what we hope is a night full of challenges and strong competition.

What I'm looking forward to is playing competitive matches on new maps!
Some of the FW maps have never been played on in PC so we will be adapting our strategy each game.
Maybe some of the organized FW corps will have a leg up since they have established strategies.
If new groups merge for this event I imagine some friendships will be born and new alliances will rise!
Good luck to the brave mercs who have the courage to unite and play.
I personally will be giving a million isk to the merc I was most impressed with per match. Win or loose. |

It will not be for the most kills or most wp. The merc will be evaluated based upon their contribution for the other team.

- Hacking points
- General tenacity
Generally, the bigger of a pain in the azz you are, the better chance of getting the bonus isk.

We are working on the channel, so be patient. At the same time, we are the ones with the ISK. If you have to hunt a little bit, then that is what you have to do. Of course like most in New Eden you want it just handed to you on a silver platter. State of the world I guess.
