I'm moving this convo here from the original thread: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=149119&find=unread
Video test of uplinks. http://youtu.be/xQwT-jxihns
I think it really belongs in this thread. I've had many conversations with other players that speak to the timer countdown seen in my video. The person who commented was right, the timers count down as long as you are bleeding out. I find that a strange mechanic but sure why not.
If this logic is correct this means:
- if you are killed without ability to revive (headshot, grenade, etc) you will see the timers at their full true loadtime
- if you are killed and bleeding out, all timers will countdown from their loadtimes to 3 seconds
So if I am an Amarr Logi with EQ bonus to uplinks, the only people who get the 'benefit' (which is actually longer than bleedout timers) are those who are beyond revival. And whether or not my uplink retains that 'benefited lower timer' based on the suit I'm wearing is still up in the air unanswered.
Can a developer confirm this is the correct logic and whether or not I retain the bonus on the uplink regardless of the suit I wear going forward?

I doubt you'll get any sort of Dev/CPM/GM response whatsoever.
My Council Chamber's post is four days old, your feedback post is three weeks old, and the thread linked in that post is even older. None of them have a single response.
At this point, it's safe to assume CCP just doesn't care about our concerns.
It's all about the damn paper. Make money, and give no fucks about who you step on in the process.
C'mon Devs, PLEASE prove me wrong... |

Spawning times have always been that way,
Suit change: Test it with a CalLogi and his hives, I might do this later if I feel like it. |

Well if that can be confirmed by a dev, I'd be grateful as I feel a large part of the player base did not think that was how it was intended. I'd like to warn many players to be safe with their SP if this was the 'intended' outcome. I honestly never paid much attention to tiered bonuses on eq itself before this patch.

Done basic tests and I've been able to get 3 sec spawn times outta Adv uplinks. The more they are used, the more they will show a higher level. Pretty sure they all operate under the same basic function, just that some can handle more faster, nothing more. The higher spawn timer number can (unless I missed something) equate to a "queue". You are seeing your queue for that variant of hive that this individual has active. Meaning that they are linked in effectiveness. Just initial testing, and basic deductions, but the actual mechanism is beyond me at times. I've had SLOWER times with proto links on a Proto AmLogi than if I put an Adv link on my Frontline fit.
Uplink times are seriously messed up tho. Would LOVE to see anything official as to how they actually function. All I know is sometimes my hive has a short spawn, an other times it is a long wait. Please let me know if I am entirely off base on this. |

Thanks to everyone who helped. This thread here speaks to the same question I was asking and I think we got our (sad, sad) answer. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=150074&find=unread
