Hello does anyone know the exact stacking penalties for stacking the same module for example: complex precision enhancer x2, x3 etcetera....

Also I would like to know if CCP rounds statistics up and or down for example; would a 21.44 profile be round down to 21 or would it stay as is if it were to be a 21.66 profile would it stay as is or be rounded up?

How does CCP walk the walk......

 The numbers always round up.

Stacking penalty is 87% for the 2nd, 54% for the third, and not worth the effort for the fourth.

Best PVE idea I've seen. Fixed link. |

Just for verification would 21.01 profile be rounded to 22? Also thank you for replying Alena Ventrallis may the force be with you.

No, they don't round the penalties...it's always 86.9%, 57.1, 28.3. The final numbers may round, in cases of precision or profile, but the penalty does not. Test it with your speed, they do not round except to the tune of 2 decimal places.

Yes I believe profile rounds both up and down. So 21.1 rounds to 21. Just remember the same goes for precision, and any tie between the two will lead to you being scanned.

Thanks for replying I did mean the finished statistic after the stacking penalties for the rounding.

is this the same for Light Damage mods...

On one fit I used 3 complex 1 advanced and 1 basic... which worked out better than 5 complex due to stacking... 10%,10%,10%,5%,3%.. which worked out roughly for arguments sake 10%, 8% ish, 6% ish ,5%,3%

How does this work for them now as it word be 5, 5, 5, 4 , 3... what do the 2nd and 3rd damage mods become?

Or to put it more simply... what is the best way to stack 5 damage mods now? or can you get nearly as much from 3 mod's and save on PG and CPU?

It's pretty complicated. But in general it goes Suit or weapon base * applicable skills from suit or weapon proficiency * passive skills * modules (with stacking penalties where appropriate).

Stacking penalty is accrued on percentile modules of the same TYPE. Your 3 complex 1 adv and 1 basic was WORSE than 5 complex dmg mods with the 10,10,10,5,3 it came out to 10.00%, 8.69%, 5.71%, 1.41%, 0.32%, Total bonus: 28.58% the complex mods would have been 10.00%, 8.69%, 5.71%, 2.83%, 1.06%, Total bonus: 31.34%, worse by about 3%. Now it comes out to 5,5,5,4,3 -> Individual bonuses: 5.00%, 4.35%, 2.85%, 1.13%, 0.32%, Total bonus: 14.33%

Important to not that the only rounding occurs when the game displays a value.
There is no rounding within the mechanics themselves.
The formula is on the forums, so is the dev response which confirms rounding in the menu system only.
