As a pilot since Closed Beta I'd vie for a slight HP buff to base for both ADS types. Any ADV+ AV weapon - swarms/proxy mines/AV grenades aside - can solo an ADS and either down him/her or limit him/her from a large portion of the map. Maps in this game are far too small for the ranges rails have (but since the rail range nerf, it's slightly more bearable). (+1 for the light HP buff)
I run an Incubus with OP. 5 and Reloading 3 in all the small turrets, but the vast majority of my 23m SP is in infantry (I love my laser weapons and Amarr suits. ;_;). As it stands right now, I will - and do - down every ADS/DS I encounter, either by accidental ramming (because both pilots/one is drifting forward and it becomes a game of chicken where neither wants to avert their aim) or by taking them down with their weakness. In this case, I charge Pythons/Myrons/Vipers with a 20G Particle Cannon because small rails are more effective against shields than anything (proven). Incubi/Grimsnes/Gorgon I pummel with missiles.
If I can't take them down because they run, I'll get my dual turret ships (of either 2 20G Particle Accelerators or 2 AT-1 Missiles Launchers) and chase them down with my side gunner doing the majority of damage. When it comes to tanks, I'll generally avoid armor tankers, but if I spot a shield tanker I'll pull out the dmg. mod dual Particle Accelerators (or my single Particle Cannon) and smash them down. Or if there's other tankers I'll just stay higher up and sacrifice the additional damage instead using my gunner to raep-face them.
PROTIP: Shield tanks will run around scared shitless when their shields are suddenly getting #REKT and they don't se what it is at first.
Running the SRG's on a leveled up Incubus skill vastly makes a difference when fighting tanks as well. The increased fire-rate will obliterate them faster. When it comes to armor tankers, I usually have my gunner attack them (in an ADS) to see their armor reps. If they have 1 rep or 2 not-good-ones we'll attack, otherwise we lay off or I pull out the dual-missile. All in all, I haven't really ran a solo ADS in a while simply because I can sacrifice the tiny bit of extra gank for a bonus to gank.
Ie: Dropping my pilot gun to ADV and giving my gunner an ADV weapon of the same type.
This makes my ship cost less, but also double the DPS.
QUICK, EVERYONE GRAB A GUNNER AND FOLLOW MUH STRATEGY FOR MULTI-RAEP
Overall: My main beef is how glass-cannon-y the ADS/DS are. Otherwise they really do dominate everything in the hands of the right pilot (or rather, decent pilots).
Dropships need a buff. This way they can stop derping everywhere . ;_;

Sir, I will have you know I Jihadd Jeep every time I see a tank because my QQ for them killing my ADS/DS from way back in the day. I'll have you know (I only recently started doing it) I would get you multiple times in a match and the odds of you spotting me are very slim unless you have someone watching every angle of the map at all times. I do commend you and other tankurz who kill me prior to detonation, but still. Just my .002 cents. Jihadding is a skill in its own right. It requires scout-like flanking maneuvers to catch a blaster/missile tank off guard, but one can just out-maneuver a railgun tank as they approach.
I'll assume you are a good tanker as well, because that makes my job more fun.
