so u flanked me n shot me in the back but I have 30m SP 2x as much hp and more damage so i win ... this is why this game requires no skill n is pretty dam boring The reason this patch is not noob friendly cause now you have to aim and make your shots count you cant just wave your gun at people fireing all over the place and get a kill like you could before.

The ScR seems pretty decent now, the CR probably KOTH its range is still too impressive, AR is fine, RR could use a bit more LR stability but apart from that are fine.
TTK seems fine with the obvious exception of cloaked shotguns.

They did. You are no longer able to trigger REs during bleedout, they seem to activate about half a second longer, and they now show up on active scanners.
That being said, I have had no problems with them, and still get plenty of kills.
TTK hasn't seen that much of an adjustment. It is not like it doubled or tripled. I wonder if the OP was even around before hit detection fixes and AA. Now THAT was a long TTK.

They did take away the delay kill ability as you are bleeding out because some people cried. - And before anyone says that was cheap - I give you the uber dampened and ranged cloaked Gallente shotgun wielder

lol...I'm not crying holmes, but nice try. Remote explosives disappear from the objectives (problem came with 1.7) and it took a few weeks to fix it but it was wonky.
Finally it got fixed, BUT 1.8 was deployed and the SAME PROBLEM is back. My theory is they overlooked the fix that was needed for disappearing remote explosives.
Oh yeah by the way your pretentious "cry some more" and obvious "HTFU" attitude is humorous to me. If you were the only one that acted like that, then maybe I'd be offended and it would be potent but since the "cry some more" and "HTFU" style stuff is used so often (literally 100 times a day on these forums) it looses its pang lol

Idk what most of you think but I really didn't see much of a change in TTK, maybe an extra half second in most cases. I still kill 99% of heavys with RE's still as well, just can't exactly do suicide runs as effectively since if you get killed before you detonate then sometimes they flux them so you died for nothing, just have to use them more wisely now. |

Time To Kill is perfect. You either just suck at aiming or you're using the wrong weapon for the type of target you're shooting at.
If you're using an anti-shield weapon, go after shield-based targets. If you're using anti-armor weapons, go after armor-based targets. If you're a commando, fit one anti-shield and one anti-armor weapons with the anti-shield as a primary.
Also, what proof do you have that this game is mostly unbalanced? I have been seeing a lot of skirmish matches now where both sides have been pretty much even for the majority of the matches. I do see the now-uncommon lopsided matches, but I am still seeing mostly fair and balanced matches. Even 1v1 engagements are balanced.
I don't see why anyone thinks that 1.8 has made this game unbalanced when in fact I see the contrary.
PS: The kill feed is also indicating that weapon balance is mostly fine now because I am no longer seeing one single weapon being the common weapon anymore. It's a mixed bag of weapons which is how it's suppose to be. Back in 1.7 the kill feed showed nothing but Rail Rifles.

My Combat Engineer ALT is better off now than he's been all of Uprising. He now has a chance to heal some targets instead of everyone insta-gibbing. Blue-dots shoot me to get my rep-tool's attention. I do not miss the days of when Logi work was all uplinks and active scanners.

Aim Assist has been working infrequently so that might be your issue. The bullets don't appear to be magnetized anymore so that might be why you feel the TTK is too high. You can drop most any suit fast though if you ADS and keep yourself trained on them. |

This is the most brazen NAKED attempt at getting a buff to an already OP weapon - the RR. Seriously, that thing still wreaks havoc. The TTK hasn't changed much. Now there are more commandos and heavies, so naturally firefights take longer. Seriously. The RR and CR are still game breaking. The SCR is very well balanced ---- you can't spam it against a heavy for instance because you'll damage yourself. it is lethal against proper, minimally tanked scouts. Gallente AR is UP for sure, but only in relation to the other rifles. It still far outdoes the other weapons in the game. you want to talk about UP? How about the Ion Pistol. That thing is RUBBISH. |

I disagree with your post. Longer TTK allows more fitting diversity and requires you to develop strafing skills. If anything the current ttk is about right but maybe could be a little higher say .10 seconds for two heavies blasting each other (id want the increase everywhere but just giving an example). |

If you invest into an ADV suit... You should always have a chance to turn around and defend yourself.. Defend your investment.
Right now that is impossible... Every single gun will kill you before you turn around and defend yourself. Unless your a Heavy(Which is where we want things)
This is largely DUST's hit detection system mixed with AA that stops good fights from happening. |

I agree that the past 2 patches have favored vets, and im a 20m sp vet. Problem with rifles is twofold. The cr is still OP yes, however the 3 rifles are closer to balance between each other. However theyre not in balance with the rest of the game. The answer isnt buff the rr or at but nerf the cr a tick.
Ccp dropped the ball on dropsuits if anything. Assault is dead, scout is WAY op and heavy is a little op. Couple that with lousy bonuses and the fact cloak should be in high slot, not equip slot and use more pg and cpu and that is the mess that is 1.8.
So 2 slight nerfs and one major nerf would really improve the dynamic overall. As for cloaks, if people want to use them fine, I just feel they should have to sacrifice their damage dealt or their ehp to do so.
Dont expect a lot of support though. People dont want to give up their crutches. |
