I might make a more detailed informational video about the minmatar heavy is people are interested. There's a trick to it...not completely obvious in the video but if you're paying attention you'll probably figure out the strategy. Links: 7162 wp with a Repair Tool! I make logistics videos!

Congrats, you trashed a lot of mlt suits, a few heavies and like 3 scouts, quite a few while you were using a cloaked commando which is just under the scan precision of anything that isn't a scout or hasn't invested in precision amplification skill (ie, it works on noobs, but not anyone playing the real fotm). After switching you continued to kill MLT suits and heavies, and almost no scouts. Your video proves nothing really other than that you are pretty good at trashing people in free fits.

There are Gallente and Amarr Sentinels using it though, and they'll ruin your day. Honestly, the thing I see the Minmatar Sentinel being better than any other Sentinel at is at Forge Gun tank hunting. Being able to get into cover matter more than HP, and the Minny speed matters most for that. You also have the mobility to chase down a fleeing tank and line up that last essential shot to pop it. Yeah, itGÇÖs kind a narrow use to be GÇ£bestGÇ¥ at. But IGÇÖd take it over a Caldari Sentinel for the job any day. Is the strategy you're referring to cloaked commando's or burst hmg heavies? Because if it's the cloaked commando it demonstrates part of the issue with cloak and shotgun. Scout's aren't the big big issue, though they did get buffed through the roof, the cloak having a free cplx profile damp that doesn't have a stacking penalty and not having a decloaking -> firing delay is a big problem.

But you weren't defending against the scouts. Seriously watch your own video, You were shooting mlt guys, and some heavies and getting wrecked by the scouts, except for the like 2 times a scout either ran straight at you or decided to punch you instead of shotgun.

Not in the video lol, that screensht was of the battle where I defended the city against scouts with a sentinel. The video was completely different. The "strategy" I'm referring to is yet something else entirely. It's just the ability to maintain speed/agression in the heavy suit. I know what I was doing in the video, and yes about halfway through editing I noticed that I was killing the same 3 guys every time, mlt noobs that just kept pushing. It's not impressive no, but it shows how to use the minmatar heavy properly, as this "strategy" works the same against mlt and proto frames alike. Links: 7162 wp with a Repair Tool! Its stamina lets you get really close if they aren't paying attention, and otherwise is generally a great suicide ganker. But it's like that one guy says. Anyone who's worth their weight as a scout or scanner will pick you up. Not to mention the ease of which I spot cloaked scouts all the time...
