This was originally supposed to be a video about cloaks on commandos, but shotguns kept killing me so I decided to pull out my sentinel to try and counter them...and what do you know it worked.
I might make a more detailed informational video about the minmatar heavy is people are interested. There's a trick to it...not completely obvious in the video but if you're paying attention you'll probably figure out the strategy.

I'll update the OP to make things a bit more clear, but did I say I was trying to prove anything? I've been using this strategy all day and it's been giving me great scores. I just recently went 35/5 against a squad of good players using the same strategy: http://imgur.com/xzQQtEn
Like I stated, this was originally supposed to be a video about cloaks on commandos but it showed some good gameplay of the effectiveness of the fast minmatar heavy.
The point is, the commando sucks when used like this, and proves that it's not the cloaks that are an issue, but the scouts themselves.

I deleted the cloaked commando fit right after this and made two actual commando fittings.

But you weren't defending against the scouts. Seriously *watch your own video*, You were shooting mlt guys, and some heavies and getting wrecked by the scouts, except for the like 2 times a scout either ran straight at you or decided to punch you instead of shotgun.
Not in the video lol, that screensht was of the battle where I defended the city against scouts with a sentinel. The video was completely different.
The "strategy" I'm referring to is yet something else entirely. It's just the ability to maintain speed/agression in the heavy suit.
I know what I was doing in the video, and yes about halfway through editing I noticed that I was killing the same 3 guys every time, mlt noobs that just kept pushing. It's not impressive no, but it shows how to use the minmatar heavy properly, as this "strategy" works the same against mlt and proto frames alike.

I was killing the same 3-4 guys in std and mlt suits at the end.
The scouts were actual scouts though, especially that guy in the beginning who sneaked up on me twice.
