Dont listen to all of these who suggest put as many extender as possible.
Its all about your skill and passive scan. Seriously, passive scan is your high adventage. You only cant see dampened gal scouts (they more often put kin cats than damps). If youre not using your passive scan (i mean modules) youre just using it as assault.
Supposed adv fit.
Adv caldari scout : -2x compx scan enchancers (scouts needs 3damps to hide from you [gal 2]) -compx shield extender (for extra hp) -basic dampener (you only need 1 basic + cloak to run from scouts passives, probably galentes which wanna scan you, and only other cal scout can scan you) -compx range amplifier (54 scan range) -cloak + remotes (very good combo)
-and your gun combo (std guns, i use CR/ScR +ScP/magsec these works great)
With 2 enchancers you scan at 17 profile. With 1 basic damp and cloak you have 20 scanprofile, thats under gallogi scans (no focused) and under other suits scans (except cal scout, hunter sees another hunter).
Use remotes as traps, kill enemies from back. Do what you want ,this fit works excelent.

The good thing about the cal scout (which will, I suspect lead to its choice as FoTM) is that it's flexible.
Can be a passive scanning scout like you suggest.
Can be an assualt by stacking HP.
Can carry two pieces of equipment, only one short of its Cal Logi cousin.
And it can use a cloak too.
There is no one size fits all loadout for a cal scout, and there are many loadouts and playstyles that it supports.
IMO of course...>Leadfoot
p.s. thanks for sharing your fit. |

Good fit. I like to run an enhanced dampener so I can avoid 21dB Gal Logi scans, but granted I've only seen scanners a handful of times since 1.8. |

My .02 ISK:
Complex Amp is unnecessary- an enhanced will net you 50(.6)m for less ISK/CPU for a single module. I too run only an Enhanced Dampener.
Other than that I pretty solidly agree with your assessment. Cal Scouts are built to be Passive Scan experts, and not building on that with modules just feels wrong to me.
Weapon wise I run either BP/NK or Tac AR/BP. (For the longer distance engagements which the CalScout's bonuses seem to promote.)
This is the Kaalakiota Bolt Pistol- the most powerful handgun in New Eden.
So tell me, do you feel lucky, Punk?

Not bad, that's kinda the same fitting I have for city maps, the key is to spot everyone, keep moving and kill your targets one by one... still, I don't think that fitting can survive well in open fields, the one I use for field operations is this one:
ADV Cal scout:
Complex scan apm 2 enhanced shield extenders
complex damp complex range amp
SRB... whatever RR and ADV assault smg
Basic cloak and RE's
While my protosuit is this one:
Comp scan amp 3 comp shield extenders
comp damp enhanced range amp
Kaalakiota RR, ADV assault smg
ADV Cloak and RE's.
Also, here's the proto version of the ADV you suggested cuz it works too.
2 comp scan amp 2 comp shield extenders
comp dap comp range amp
Kaalakiota RR, SMG
Basic cloak and RE's.
Major DUST fact.

I have to disagree slightly just because fits are very situational. Sometimes it makes sense for more HP and others it makes sense for better passive scan.
I run Amarr, some fits I have 600+ armor and others I have 220. I could need more speed, passive scanning, stamina(lolno) or repair.

I have at least a dozen cal scout fits, all different. But my adv hunter fit is very similar to the ones listed above and is by far my favorite because it is the most versatile.
The other fits, including my brick fit are very situational.
