I don't know because I have it and I can..... personally I like the way the gear feels the performance it shows, and just imagine that in my armour I look badass.
Besides I don't pub very often I prefer a good FW match.

If you are not in PC and don't care for the team kills in FW then all you have is Pubs.
I don't run proto since I am a rubbish player with a very slow internet but my objective is to reach a billion Isk with hope that something comes along I can use it on. |

Because when you have 250m+ ISK and have the necessary skills, there's no reason not to. Most of the time people running proto are pubstomping with a squad and going 20-0 in Ambush, so there's very little reason not to.
And it's hilarious to see people cry about it and say stuff like "You only beat me because you have proto!"

it would be a more constructive tread. If CCP didn't allow proto suits and proto weapons in pubs then PC would be the only place for people that want a challenge with their proto suits. And those who just like to smash people in pubs would be crying cuz they can't do as good as they could before with their proto suits.

I just like the versatility it offers me. Having a proto Gal Logi is incredibly versatile, able to stack some armour, shields and dampeners, as well as a cloak and basic equipment. Without my proto suit, I couldn't play how I like. |

I agree with alot of folks here.
Also, running the best gear possible may even allow your squadmates to do better in matches.
Logistics soldiers with nanite injectors, scanners, nanohives and repair tools can maintain squadmates health, prevent flanking enemies from being as successful, and even determine the outcome of the match.
If its a sacrifice for the betterment of your team then so be it. And like everyone else, having a billion ISK doesnt hurt because you can maintain your stocks.. and oftentimes even the stocks of your corpmates.

Heres a hundred copies worth of ISK. Try them out. Spare no expense. Its all on me bro.
