Okay CCP, I've had about all I can stand of the now "dreaded" ultra fast, insanely tanked, invisible murder machines.
I don't want to get rid of the cloak because that's really cool, but something must be done about the FOTM exploiters who are constantly running around with one-shot wonders.
Scouts are supposed to be spies and yes assassins, but they SHOULD NOT BE CAPABLE of taking down a dual tanked maximum EHP sentinel, of any race, with a mere one or two shots -- THIS IS EXTREMELY F' ING FRUSTRATING.
My proposal is to not nerf the shotgun, but to make the scouts much like the commandos.
By this I mean make it so that scouts can only carry two sidearm weapons.
That means they'll have two sidearm slots instead of 1 light slot and 1 sidearm slot nothing else would be changed.
This will even the playing field a little bit and may even get the people who are quitting in droves to come back, wait times for Pubs are starting to get really long. (It took up to 5 minutes to get into a domination last night.)
I know this will generate a lot of hate from the FOTMs, but they can go screw themselves.

If you're going to nerf scouts to dual sidearms, then give us nova knife sprint charge and we have a deal.
I need 3-4 shots with the shotgun to take out most heavies. My nova knives will kill any heavy in less than one second (one charged swipe, one uncharged swipe). I guess you don't have a problem with that? |

um ... incredibly dangerous suggestion .... thats not to say us scouts have an unfair advantage with shotguns..
shotguns need to be managed somehow, but not to break the gun. however, i must admit im more scared of shotguns than HMGs.
i think one potential fix, could be a ROF reduction for shotguns. increase ttk, and give the victim a chance to engage the scout with the shotty before death. It is definitely a subject for discussion.

They already nerfed the RoF of the shotgun. The scout is not the problem it's the hit detection. Right when 1.8 hit the hit detection went out the window |

I would have agreed with this but even when I try to pay attention to my surroundings, I would still miss the cloaked scout. Maybe it would help if the shimmer of the cloak was a little more noticeable but not enough to be a huge disadvantage. |

The best nerd for scouts is the reduction of the CPU/PG bonus for the cloak. It should not be possible for a scout to have HP like a assault and the cloak!!!

Seriously, the fact that it takes me two shots to pop through their armor in CQC with a shotgun is a bit silly.

not everyone has enough slots to fit them and still be competitive.(ex. Heavies)

I'll admit the ion pistol is, but I run sidearms only on my Amarr Scout alt (Magsec & Scrambler pistol, or Magsec and Nova Knives) and I do just fine.
I'll also agree that running sidearms only isn't for everyone, but there's always the Basic Light Frames which are pretty much the same as the Scout suits minus the cloak field bonus.

The answer was no that time, and it is be no this time too.
If ScPs got their RoF back, I wouldn't mind personally. However, shitting all over scout-shotguns (which has been a time honoured tradition since closed beta) is a big no no.

Scouts aren't the problem it's the people who tank them that are. Reduce the cpu on each variant of the scout suit to stop with caldari scouts running around with 400 shield and 200 armor with the cloak module. The sidearm scout isn't a bad idea but its not what we need, reduce the cpu. |

IDK what you are running for a sentinel but today when I went out in mine it was 3 sometimes 4 shots with a crg-3 to take me down by an invisible scout...I don't even fit complex plates on that sentinel g-1 fit, so either you don't know what a dual tank is or they are head shotting you specifically every time sir. BTW your idea sucks, the scouts are balanced, especially considering all you need to do is find them and look at them in a funny way with your HMG/FG to take them out, even if they are dual tanking. That is if you can spin around fast enough.

How about having to turn the cloaker off before switching to any other equipment or weapons, the simple delay would be enough that fast fingers could save a scouts life, but end yours, while the 0.75 second delay between being cloaked, and uncloaked while trying to pull out your shotgun, could give you a chance to fight back.
I changed my tv setting, I can see scouts, standing cloaked, from 70 in-game meters; head shot a running cloaked scout today at 85 meters with a laser rifle, it is not impossible to kill them cloaked. What the issue is, is these shotgun wielding scouts, who are shooting before the decloak animation even starts. I'm fine getting flanked, its the whole, scout shooting you while the module that doesn't let you do anything besides hack while active, is shooting you while it's still partially active.

So the guy with 1000+ HP and a weapon that insta kills every one is whining because we have to get CLOSE and put 4 shots for a shotgun to kill you you can see us when we are cloaked it is not hard so man up grow a pare and keep a eye open

News flash scouts are your Bain ! Nova knives 1150 damage Shot gun got a rof nerf and now does shield damage for proficiency 607.2 pro5 pro gun per shot Remotes 1500 Flux nades + magsec, or smg min scout pro 5 hand to hand 3 melee mods 450+ damage, headshot = dead
