I started out With a little over 700 HP but have steadily removed plates and added more scouty mods on my suit.
So I'm currently running With 160 Shields - 404 armor which makes the total HP 546.
Thats the setup I've ad the most success With, I noted my games yesterday and had a 5.9 KDR, without nothing but gun, nade and knife kills.
And please do mind, this is a protosuit, be reasonable and have that in mind, it cost a lot and is not to be considered against a dragonfly BPO....
So am I now considered a scout With a setup like this? or am I still a "tryhard Assault bricktanked scout FOTM Wannabe"?
How little HP must a scout suit have to be considered as being a "true scout"?
Is there a limit and whats the number?
Just fit what you like. Thats the core principle of the game.
There are Types and Subtypes. Who cares if youre an "assault scout" or a "stealth scout". As long as it is fun? |

Assault scouts I would say are looking for highest damage output, so alpha weapons combined with large amounts of either armor or shields but not both and they don't necessarily stack it to the max (i.e. 2 or 3 out of the 4 slots).
2. Honestly there is not such thing as an assault scout- there just "scouts", but "true scouts" go for max speed/stealth (dampners/cloaks)/ range amplifiers/ and precision scanners- and these are mixed with 1 or 2 shields extenders or 1 or 2 armor plates.
3. At this point I wouldn't consider you a "true scout" just a regular scout, but not a "tryhard Assault bricktanked scout FOTM Wannabe."
4. Limits are generic but it's usually totaling around 300-400 eHP on proto suits.
If you can fit it, it is good. Try out stuff, play around. If its a scout suit its a scout suit, period [.]
When you play the scout in a more "assault-like" fitting, then its your business. I think the QQ about the assault fitted scout is a symptom for a lack of definition for the declared assault: The assault suit. But thats another story.
I think King Babar is an assault player deep in his little heart, but let him experiment to where he can push it. If he can make the scout work for his own style, he has the right to do that. It is only sad if that would be the only viable playstyle at all. |
