When you have a cloaking devices it give -25% to all damage resistances. So if your suit has a cloaking device all weapons deal 125% damage to you. When the cloak is active it is -50% damage resistance meaning all weapons do 150% damage to you.
Destroying the purpose of cloaking will just make the cloak worthless. This simple solution gives a drawback to using a cloaking device without destroying it like a community demanded nerf to cloaking will drive CCP to do.
BTW- if Heavys AND Cloaks get nerfed before HAVs... I am murdering cute kittens... |

Working on shield and Armor parity.... Like everyone has asked for since October when they buffed the armor modules... Then nerfed the shield in November Even after EVERYONE asked CCP to wait....
You can point fingers to other players for not being "Honorable" but that mere notion in a CCP game is hilarious... The blame for brick tanking doesn't lie on any scout or any player...
The Blame Lies with the lack of parity between shield and armor... That EVERYONE has complained about. To the point where they massively over buffed armor...
Not like it was a bad thing it was right after they introduced Aim Assist... and TTK dropped by 300% when everyone could suddenly aim and hit bullets like The best in the game.....

Using a non bricked (no damage, shield or armour modules) scout with no cloak my Alt went 11/2 earlier today. Mainly hunting other scouts. Cloak isn't invisible its a purple sparkly cloud. And if you have a good enough precision they have a chevron just above their head.
There are other ways to get them too. |

All they really need to do to prevent plate stacking is provide an additional movement penalty for scout suits on regular plates (not ferroscales or reactives). So if you want to stack multiple complex plates, your movement speed is dramatically reduced, compared to the same number of plates on an assault, such that you are as slow or slower than an assault when using stacked plates. |

I've put my idea out there to fix brick tanking light suits: change HP buffer modules to percentage based instead of fixed values and make HP recover modules easier to fit than HP buffer. To discourage brick tanking scouts specifically I also think we should change the drawback for shield extenders to a scan profile penalty and increase the speed hit back to higher values for armor plates.

Just so I know, are you yelling at me, or just quoting me? I don't brick tank (87 armor ftw) and never have (GalLogi with 487 armor, I rep tanked).
The Shield/Armor Parity would be great, especially now that I've switched teams, but, i ran armor when it was God-awful, so, I enjoy being back to the 'inferior' HP system (though my 67/s recharge is beautiful).

I got a nice cloak suit, I just don't want to see cloak nerfed because when CCP nerfs something, they nerf it to uselessness. Making the cloaking device force us into a pure stealth role is a lot better than turning the cloaking device into a worthless POS. |

Scouts already have the highest absolute penalty from plates. 5% of 5.45 is greater than 5% of 5.0.
Its not a good idea.

Lower fitting costs on kin cats and cardiac regs, at the moment allot of players will be looking at it and seeing 12% faster movement speed for 15pg or +135 armour for 3pg less which do you think most will choose?

This is a very bad idea. That would mean even the "true scouts" who have less than 400 eHP will die within seconds whenever they're cloaked. You're not only encouraging brick-tanking scouts, but you're also destroying the idea of how the scout should be.
"One does not simply" look for a scout, it looks for you.
