OP: think of it as CCP giving you the skill on layaway for 50% down and 0% interest for as long as it takes to pay back. If that was a car in real life, you'd have a hell-of-a-deal. i'd rather just not have have the proto scout since i don't use it i just didn't want to skill into it later.
Wait, what? You didn't even want proto? Then why did you spec that far into it in the first place? By the way, this issue was posted in the forums on the first day. This is standard procedure to read the issues thread before doing anything in the new update.

They posted the info on day one in the technical section of the forums. We all knew there will be bugs so that was the first place we all went to before spending the SP on anything. I maxed out my Amarr scout suit as well but I was smart enough to save the extra SP until CCP charges the difference. So far, i'm still in the positive.

Still, a five minute visit to the forums via a smartphone or a nearby computer or through your PS3 would have alerted you to the issue and save you a whole 3-4 weeks of extra grinding.

Did you at least get suspicious on why the initial SP investment for Amarr scout was far lower than that of the rest of the scouts? The SP cost is clearly listed under the books right in front of you.

We forum goers may be the more active and dedicated portion of the community....but we are not necessarily the biggest....... if we want to take it further issues like this should be presented and explain to players on their consoles through the notice board or highlights when the game is started, not just on the forums.
Which is why everyone here should encourage CCP to post the known bugs in the login screen next time.

Yeah, it was a mistake for CCP to assume most console players were smart enough to think before they act.

Come on now. Its not that hard to take five minutes of your time to look up the list of known bugs on the first day of every patch. You don't even have to do that everyday. You'll just need to look it up once every three months now when the patch comes.
15 minutes can save you 15% or more on car insurance.
