If you have enough SP to be going proto for a suit you don't even want yet I have a hard time believing you didn't know that getting the racial suit skill up to lvl V takes almost 2,500,000 SP. And all of a sudden it's half that and you didn't notice? Why are you spending millions of SP without even paying attention to what's on the screen? Maybe I'm weird but when I go to train a skill all the way up to lvl V in one go I tend to look at the screen and see what's going on before I confirm it.
The people that are deep into negative SP were either thinking they could take advantage of the mistake or not paying a damn bit of attention to what they were doing. Neither of those is a reason to refund anything.

BARDAS wrote:They should refund you. It was a bad business decision not to. It was through their own fault it was broken in the first place. There was no warning for the average player, who does NOT visit the forums likely, before spending all their SP. No emails, not pop ups upon sign on, nothing nada zip. Gives a big big clue as to how they view us as customers. They think we are stupid and will just give in and go along with what they say. To a degree some will because they are either stupid or CCP suck ups. The rest will just deal with the bad taste in their mouths by not purchasing any AUR or funding the developers further. If the devs can live with a reduced cash flow by all means keep the decision and be anti-consumer. Everything you said is completely wrong.
It wasn't a "business decision" for starters.
The only people who didn't have any warning were players that had never put any SP into racial suits before and had no idea that it was supposed to be an 8x skill. There is zero excuse for anyone else to not have noticed it required half as much SP as every other racial suit in the game has cost the since racial suits were first introduced. Not once has that value ever changed.
They don't think you are stupid. In fact this whole mess started because they thought you were smart enough to be able to figure out something was wrong before dumping your SP into it. In retrospect that was a mistake.
Everything else you said is just plain nonsense.

The SP cost is clearly listed under the books right in front of you. i didn't look at the other scouts i knew which scout i was going to skill into weeks ago So you went ahead and picked which suit you wanted in advance and allocated enough SP to train it to level V?

I keep using the word irony? Where? Please link to that exact line of text. I'll wait right here. EDIT: I'll save you trouble. Click my name and run a search for the word "irony" in every single one of my posts. You get only two, well 3 now, all on this same page. Oh, there's something I ought to tell you. I'm not left-handed either.
