CCP, I'd like to know what prompted these changes. Yeah, I find a redline rail sniper to be a b!tch scared to leave the spawn, but I can deal with them. And there's no reason to nerf the armor hardeners, other than to please the infantry on here that continue to try to solo tanks. They put up the same threads about the same conditions, ie tank spam in ambush, or the rare occasion that they're not in ambush, they can't destroy a tank with Darkside CBR7 swarms.
With 1.7 as it was, I assumed you wanted tankers to deal with the threat. Now it's clear that due to infantry's ability to adapt to changes as we've done for over a year, now it's easier for those that find it difficult to use their brains to destroy tanks. Translation, I don't want to die!!!
Please dont make me come out of the Redline !!! It's funny to see one redline B!tch calling other redline tanker B!tch lol |

How do you proxy in the Redline again !? Throw proxy's at the redline ?! The only way L33T redliners die is by JLAV.... They are too stupid to notice a flashing LAV!!! lmfao |

The railgun may mean less redline tankers but a few will stick around on the smaller maps and maybe on high areas if the view is still good and they can hit things but now it has the same distance as a handheld AV weapon which happens to be weaker and less powerful in everyway - expect this to go back to 600m if the maps every do get larger
Small railgun is made even more useless, to shoot from 100m up is a challenge let alone getting hits on infantry and is a nerf to the armor ADS
So that's 7 out 16 players to kill how many again ?! Who's gonna cap the objectives and win ?!
It all sounds great in theory... The same way it should take 2-3 players vs single tank, right ?! when you are allowed to spam the **** out of a map with tanks...

It's Still Far from Balance. The hardeners are good change... But nerfing the Range from 600 to 300 is a tad bit too much. 350 base and 400 with level 5 proficiency would be more acceptable. This way there would be a difference between Wanna be Rail tankers and Actual Rail tankers. The same way one of my Buddies took 5 tanks in one match without needing to hit the supply depot. Now you can see the difference between full frontal tankers vs "Oh i'm a tanker" |

Infantry can do it and generally will do it, i play supply depot games with enemies because i can and is that fair? no If i recall a vehicle its in my redline more often that not because doing it in the open is dumb
So infantry should be allowed to change suits on the go. Press a button Recall AV suit and chase a tank, when the tank starts chasing you recall a scout suit and run. Sounds about right... |
