Since my attitude about the implementation of this project is pretty negative right now I'm afraid my predictions will be the same:
- We'll see more defined concept art for the remaining racial vehicles. Implementation will be late, have the wrong stats and look like bloated whales.
- We'll see more rough slides talking about PVE and it'll be tagged SoonGäó. It won't be released until Fanfest 2015.
- The Caldari Production Outpost, Minmatar Cargo Hub Outpost and their accompanying socket sets will be strangely absent. During a round table discussion a dev will only answer if pressed with "held for optimization and performance reasons." If anybody asks about Amarr designs the devs will just look away and change the subject.
- With Valkyrie the new golden child we'll only see old, regurgitated DUST clips in the new EVE vision video.
I need a morale boost. Providing constructive criticism and defending normal development processes has drained me dry. Bitter Vet status achieved. The day CCP Guard dons a dropsuit and films an overly dramatic dramatization for EVE: DUST 514 is the day I'll believe the CCP is confident about their own game.

Well, I'll be having more people want to take their picture with me than last year because my DUST University CEO uniform is looking much better than last year. (Seriously, if I'd charged -ú1 per photo I'd have half paid for this years trip).
I expect a bit of mea culpa regarding the failings of the first couple of Uprising patches, not much on stage but in the round tables certainly.
PC and FW are going to be completely gutted and effectively started again.
Don't expect a ps4 port for this Fanfest but more likely that the 2015 Fanfest will have it.
CCP Unifex promised an eve smartphone app for this Fanfest. I'd say about a 40% chance it'll have a dust element if it arrives at all.
Player market will start but will be contract based to begin so ISK movement can be better tracked.
1.8 was not their primary focus (confirmed from chats with the CPM) so the next named expansion (6.0) will be launched. But I suspect the game will be pretty much a reboot with significantly changed maps at least. Redlining is 100% the result of frankly very, very poor map design and can't be sorted till the maps are redone entirely. Not a coincidence that most that worked on the old maps aren't at CCP anymore considering the jobs they've advertised.
Round table discussions are going to very heated affairs I'd have thought.
CPM election dates will be announced at Fanfest with the successful candidates in place for launch of next expansion (likely May 14 again)
Pilot suit class announced but not ready till 6.1
Command class shown but not happening straight away.
CCP Rouge to recount and give reasoning for massive restructuring of CCP Shanghai when he arrived.
I will drink a lot of Brenniv+¡n, a lot of Quafe and eat a lot of the rather nice burger and chips from the catering at Harpa.

Things I want:
- Optimized menus, faster map opening times, quicker roster loading in match etc.
- Rail turret bug fixes
- Player-to-player economy, prices for in game items based on popularity, (gear prices based on tier and usage as step towards full on economy)
- PVE
- Progress and plan for PC2.0 and the addition of PC regions that people actually care about.
- FW improvements, potentially paying ISK at 50% of normal in addition to the LP gains.
- More utility modules (weapon dispersion mods, infantry ammo expander mods,)
- Equipment enhancing mods; scanner range amps, hive nanite expanders, rep tool rep/range boosters, Injector speed or hp boosters, uplink spawn expanders, re carrying/active expanders, cloak field shimmer reducers
- Webifiers as equipment similar to REs
- Rail based light AV, similar to a recoiless rifle, fast travel time great range, lower damage.
Things I realistically expect and want in the imminent future:
- More vegetation
- Slot balancing
- Turret racial parity allowing each turret to fill a smaller more defined role
- Plans for racial vehicles
- Additional heavy weapons
- More skills gaining passive bonuses
- Possibility to team sync for at least one non pc game type
- Plans for PS4 support and a rough timeline
- Plans for match sizes and new maps |

What's really astonishing to think about is CCP was able to put out 1.8--which, lets be honest, was a ton of content--while still gearing up for Fanfest. Now, I know we don't know for sure what's going to be announced there, but since FF is *the* big event for CCP, chances are it's gonna be loaded with goodies for us Mercs.

Adding new equipment is thinking too small.
What CCP needs to be planning is moving us from our lobby shooter test bed into the bigger world of New Eden. Null Sec alliances should be sieging planets around the clock. Warbarges should be dropping MCCs loaded with vehicles and installations to massive battlefields. Logistics should mean planning, building and moving stuff between systems and districts. Infantry should be storming stations and starbases.
PVE should mean a squad contracting an NPC Warbarge to jump their MCC to a planet and dropping it to the surface. You only get what you bring along meaning you better plan ahead. Use a Dropship or other vehicle to move around the 5km map to hunt down Rogue Drones or one of the outlaw factions and liberate friendly outposts.
These aren't predictions but showing us one small part of moving towards this would make this merc do the happy dance and spend money.

The War Barge will be introduced to DUST and EVE to further connect the two games. The War Barge will only be able to be piloted by capsuleers in EVE. The details I will leave up to CCP to work out.  |
