lol, not once have you guys ever stopped someone from recieving event rewards from boosting. A message, video capture, and still-images have been sent in.

Will there actually be any repercussion this time? Or was this post just to stop/inhibit several of these post from appearing many many times in the upcoming 2 weeks?

This is an interesting thread indeed, on one side we have those who understand what i did and that i accept the punishment i deserve but that dont forget about the rest of the exploits going on, and on the other we have players who i have never met coming here and asking for our heads and completly ignoring the broken core mechanics that we displayed. I appreciate all the good words and i respect all the insults but people need to realize that:

Were they reported? probably. Were they banned or took any repercursions? No, the "community" even admired what was going on.

Boosting in matches has also been going on for ages, on and off during events, even from corps who came here dissing our exploit. Were those players banned or their corps shamed into the ground? No.

As a last statment, i guess most of you dont know me, apart from the amazing games we had with Maphia, Gac, Men in Black Ops, KeQ, TULD, etc but i am the CEO of Tech Guard, and as such and to prevent any shame going into the corp i created more than a year ago, i am stepping down from ceo position and let someone with better judgement lead the corp. I will await with a growing curiosity on what punishment CCP will choose to give us and those who came before.

Actually that's true- if this boosting is punished even the "other" boosting must be punished. Don't tell me that SP are more important than isk.

I'm pretty sure they only did it this time, out of frustration, in an attempt to bring notice to the problem. Apart from me knowing them and what happened, if someone is cheating they wouldn't do it with such a flamboyant display would they? Doesn't CCP keep some records on the player kills and what not? I think that from them it should be pretty obvious to check if they do this often, not to mention that if they had done this before it would be reported sooner? There's always someone willing to report out there.

I don't agree with my teammate's hot-headed way to bring attention to this but I do think these kind of issues with exploitation should be prevented and not just accepted with the occasional punitive measure on the side. And those issues in my view also include the abuses in PC.

P.S. It's probably worthless to say this given my background but here it goes, Tech Guard is a pretty rule-abiding and friendly corp, we don't do insane proto/tank/dropship stomps and we play along with everyone. I think everyone I played with is pretty levelheaded and polite, I don't even have any knowledge any of them heckling other players or anything, at least not during any squad-up with me in it. So i was a bit ruffled by the instantaneous and completely unproven accusations posted here directed at Tech Guard as soon as this was reported.

I will stop the boosting because we all knew people noticed and i actually call it a red flag waved in some sort of protest to whats going on, for months to no end. As for the repercussions, i will wait for them, but i doubt we will be banned, because i think Corps and Players who exploited and used broken mechanics to their own profit for months were constantly ignored by CCP, and the GMs you talk about. Lastly i am sorry to the community and the game for using this mechanic.

At least Katana was honest and just admitted they were boosting, if they were indeed only doing it to bring the problem to light (every boosters excuse ever) they would have made their own thread, yes this one was up pretty quickly but if they were doing this to highlight how easy it is to boost they would have more than likely created their own thread anyway.

Also "completely unproven accusations" well there is photographic evidence and Katana also admitted it so its hardly unproven, agreed what corp the players belong to doesn't matter as I highly doubt any corp would allow players to do this regularly thanks to the bad press they would get but catching players boosting is bound to reflect on their corp it is just how it will happen

Yes that would be fine what not fine is punish one and let the others have their way its as simple as that. And that's his point as well. If he boosted to bring this point up is not relevant even less as he already is willing to accept any punishment without further questioning.

But you can't simply punish one for boosting while letting others boost the hell out of that game in an even greater scope.

I'm sure EVE players are laughing at how pitiful the Dust economy is. Just another reason why we need full market integration with pilots being able to mass produce stuff for us Mercs.

Put simply Dust is chump change right now and its impact in the grand scheme of things is laughable too. CCP needs to step it up with meaningful links between both games.

It really is too bad they released PC as it was and are now doubling back to Faction War so they can figure out that link before tackling on anything else.

PC should have never happened in all honesty. While it was a great selling point it just feels half finished so the meaningful factors behind it are not really there.

If anyone thinks the pimping of PC districts has a huge impact on the economy I'm pretty sure an EVE character running level 4's in the safety(lol) of highsec could pump out enough ISK in an hour or so to equal what a district brings in a day. Heck a null sec ratting alt can make 20 million every 20 minutes running anoms easy.

I'm more worried about the ISK EVE can pump into Dust and I want to see the bloodbath that results from it. So please CCP, give us our toys. Sooner rather than later.

PS: Port the game to the PS4 for crying out loud. We need larger player counts in battles. 16 vs 16 is kinda boring with the current map sizes.

CCP failed the Dust community as a whole with how sloppy they made the game as well as providing content. They have much greater capability than this. I am simply appalled at what they call this game of Dust 514. It has none of the Wild Wild West feel that is EVE. I will continue to chant that until they are able to honestly deliver which I know they can do but for some reason are lacking.

As far as the wild wild west feeling, you should give the meta game a go and infltrate a corp gain the trust of their ranks and betray them (I don't condone it but I think it's amazing when it happens). The only reason you fail to experience more is out of your own lack of creativity.
