Well, yes i did the boosting, and obviously i knew what i was doing, fact is, it was the first time and last i ever did such a thing and in all honestly i was because this current patch really put me on the brink of a nervous breakdown with all the bugs and horrible problems going on, i guess i deserve a report but i do ask you this Logibro, what was in store to all those who exploited PC during months, several of those corps with respectable members of this "community". We have proof in youtube videos, proof in the billionaire wallets and proof in the protostomping we daily incurr from them. What "justice" was dispensed to them? I will stop the boosting because we all knew people noticed and i actually call it a red flag waved in some sort of protest to whats going on, for months to no end. As for the repercussions, i will wait for them, but i doubt we will be banned, because i think Corps and Players who exploited and used broken mechanics to their own profit for months were constantly ignored by CCP, and the GMs you talk about. Lastly i am sorry to the community and the game for using this mechanic.

No. Im just saying there are much bigger fish in the pond and CCP never did anything about it. Or are you telling me PC exploits didnt broke the game?

So... you're trying to say boosting isn't a big deal, since there's other mechanic exploitation BS floating around... Sorry, but that doesn't fly.
No... im saying that when and if CCP deals with us, then by all means it should deal with everything thats going on for months. If they do ban us and do nothing to the fat corps who exploited PC it will be akin to something like prosecuting the guy who robs the general store and letting a big crime sindicate go free. Its hipocritical. And i do love everyone coming to this post and trowing stones without even looking to the past.

Yes, they should. However, my point is, saying "They got away with murder, so I should get away with grand larceny" isn't the way to go about it. Katana and whoever else ****** up. They need to be punished for it.
I agree. I knew perfectly what i was doing. But i am curious how should we be punished. I have been here since closed beta and i have seen terrible exploits of mechanics, bugs, gamemodes and most of all PC... PC broke the game, and CCP never did anything about it, only now we are seeing some actions by CCP on district locking. I will not excuse myself with what you said, i concur, but i dont want CCP to hipocritical nor do i want most commenters on this post to act like we commided murder while they forget what has going on. If ill be a martyr, then so be it.

More isk was obtained... Woopty doo... What am I supposed to do with 200 million isk? NOTHING! Once you have 10-20 mill, you're set. Also, CCP almost always precluded PC from being able to obtain event rewards btw.
I am sorry Djinn, but it did. Nothing stops a whole team or squad once they dont care on constantly using protogear in a public match. I have discussed this in the forums, but the influx of money on these corps broke the game. Fact. And dont forget about the SP gained in district locking

Im sorry Patrick, cant you read? I am not justifying what i did, i am yes, recognizing what i did and when and if we do get punished in any way CCP finds adequate, then by all means, lets not be hipocritical about it and start dissing out punishment to the stuff that has been happening. And also, i find it quite hilarious that people i have never even ran into, come here and start trowing rocks without looking at their own corps, friends or players they run squads with.

This is an interesting thread indeed, on one side we have those who understand what i did and that i accept the punishment i deserve but that dont forget about the rest of the exploits going on, and on the other we have players who i have never met coming here and asking for our heads and completly ignoring the broken core mechanics that we displayed. I appreciate all the good words and i respect all the insults but people need to realize that:
PC exploits have been going on forever, case in point well known corp using PC lock for their own purposes (it appears SP and ISK farming)

Were they reported? probably. Were they banned or took any repercursions? No, the "community" even admired what was going on.
Boosting in matches has also been going on for ages, on and off during events, even from corps who came here dissing our exploit. Were those players banned or their corps shamed into the ground? No.
As a last statment, i guess most of you dont know me, apart from the amazing games we had with Maphia, Gac, Men in Black Ops, KeQ, TULD, etc but i am the CEO of Tech Guard, and as such and to prevent any shame going into the corp i created more than a year ago, i am stepping down from ceo position and let someone with better judgement lead the corp. I will await with a growing curiosity on what punishment CCP will choose to give us and those who came before.
