Admit you are a bad player who needed constant Intel from scans just to compete. Adapt or die bitches. Gun control is not about guns...it's about control. The only way to ensure freedom is by having the means to defend it.

So, I have never used it pre-patch and I hated all the scan ballerinas. I hated their freaking smug faces as they danced all over the place and kept me permanently scanned. I hate them still... But to the point. After playing around with the scanner, I have to say - I like it the way it is. I mean... I could use a bit of a wider angle, but meh... Maybe it will get patched in a year.

You're wrong about not providing intel, if the cal scout sees it, the squad sees it. So you're still permascanned, just half the range now

I haven't tried using them yet though so I may agree with you later haha. But I am glad 360s are impossible

You're wrong about not providing intel, if the cal scout sees it, the squad sees it. So you're still permascanned, just half the range now I'd say the scout suit would be better for some instances. Especially now that they've taken away 360 scans and people going in and out if cloaks randomly. And you can't underestimate how useful the squad sharing is when you have more than one scout.

Maybe gallente logis could lose scan uptime and instead get 7.5% scan angle width increase / level? Would take a 60 degree scan to 82.5

And 2 cplx range amps is 70 meters with change, with 2 precision amps you have about 17 precision... So they're almost better
