Fun story: It is a forum rule that you aren't supposed to share bugs/expoits outside the respective areas (Map bugs in map forum, the rest in bug section) However, apparently, you can also file a support ticket. Turns out that the GMs get the support tickets, but the Devs have to fix the problems. The GMs and the Devs have about as good communication as the playerbase and the Devs.

At some point your gonna need to start beta testing this With actual Veteran players.. on Singularity... Because the testers you have obviously don't understand alot of DUST. |

However, we just can't have people bitching about it all the while they roll around in an LAV with their proto heavy suit. but no way- a scout can't have two knives in their hand while cloaked. It would make sense that they would. But nah- nerf it. We can't be having any semblance of any real strategy. We have to take care of a select few with artificial handicaps of scouts,

Right, the player base figures this out within hours, when they were working on 1.8 for what 3 months? Ridiculous.
CCP you better nail 1.8, as it stands 1.7 is a total disaster.

I'm sorry, I do over 1500 damage with my proto scout and ishukone nova knives that's instant death to even stacked heavy suits. With 2 complex damps while I'm cloaked I am unscannable by practically anything for 80(?) seconds at a time. There is no strategy here, this is just the ability to farm free kills |

The chances are the in-studio play testers will work closely witn or be devs themselves, which as any Computer Programmer knows means you're going to overlook stuff, because you don't percieve the equipment even being tried to be usedmin that way.
Its common in most computer systems, there are even software devlopmemt companies that can be paod on a freelance contrac to test things like banking systems to destruction. The only way CCP can achieve the same thing would be to hire a full-time team to spend part-time hours playing video games until they find something, which they may never even find.
In a persistant game the best play testers have always been your playerbase, its the best source of big data analytics for a game, period.
What is important is how quickly CCP can respond, fix and distribute a patch for the problem. I hope it will be in the same hotfix as the heavy readjustment they have palnned.
Unless your a Computer Scientist don't tell me how Game Mechanics Work.

Strategy is not cloak, approach, stab, run away undetected.
The only way a cloak is balanced is if you cannot attack while cloaked.
It is already bad enough that I keep seeing RE's appear out of thin air before the scout uncloaks. Letting them blade people is just stupid.
Real AV doesn't stop until all the tanks are dead.

I just find it hard to believe that an advanced technological society capable of consciousness transfer between clones effecting imortality, along with cloaking technology, starships capable of flying around a whole galaxy, etc. can't manage to allow the cloaked scout to hold two knives and swing them. I am talking slashing. Not charged slashing.
Yes- it is just a cheap mechanic to make it easier on the proto heavies who get to roll around in LAVs with zero newtonian laws, cheap tanks that, short of a JLAV, get to roll around with impunity. That's alll good
