thats the point really. scout before patch was very much capable of killing players. the problem was they were not great at getting away with it as once seen they were easily hunted down. what cloak should have given them was a way to get in and out if used properly and at the right time.

as i have seen, players have decided not to use the scouts sneaky peaky like abilities combined with the cloak and have instead decided to go full on assault charging the front lines head on. sprinting past enemies or hitting them head on while cloaked just makes your use of a cloak pointless.

they have given players 2 equipment slots and hacking while cloaked. this shows the scouts true purpose as support

The shimmer kicks in even when you're just walking about as slow as an elderly patient on a walking stick. I thought the shimmer would kick in only when you're sprinting or walking really fast. But instead you're visible when moving at all. The shimmer needs to be adjusted so that the shimmer only kicks in when you're moving any faster than a brisk walk. Full shimmer if you're sprinting. Frankly at the moment I keep forgetting I have one - and when I do I activate in every possible moment in order to see what it can and can't do. For now all I know is that some scouts find the STD too short, but personally activation time isn't the issue. I still haven't figured it if crouch walking produces less shimmer than normal walking. Once I've got the basics down...
