I have a feeling this will have a ripple effect on pubs. My question is, what changes will we see in pubs? Will protostomping increase because of many corps will be pushed out of MH? After the first week, heavies will be the only suit on the map. Scouts will still require too much skill, and all weapons other than the HMG have ludicrously high TTK. But don't worry--there will be a hot fix in September Kills-Archduke Ferdinand Balance!

So, they decided to blue up with them so there would be no more competition (as RND left for the donut as well). FA accepted the offer, as it was the best thing for them to do. The real problem will be the corps that hold districts, earn the cash, and need a place to blow their money. What better place than pubs to do that and then feel like demigods. I have a feeling one day this game will be in some sense of balance and the fraction of proto wearers that are nothing but scrubs will get a rude awakening. For now, SP+ISK>skill. Looking for the scout hangout?

It is part of the fun. Hopefully our meta will be based more on skills and fits than clearly OP weapons or modules now that the DPS of weapons have been toned down and a weapon has a particular srenght towards a certain defense. What I'm thinking is this: since DNS alliance has nabbed up some elite corporations under its belt and is aiming to go after MH and quite possibly will own a significant percentage of it...that means most corporations that has been in PC will be forced out. Left to regroup until they can find a wedge in the monoploy that they can capitalize on. Thus leaving us with the possible inevitable end that those kicked out corporations will travel to pub matches while they decide what they are going to do. And these guys got money to burn, so I expect protostomping to increase. Don't get me wrong...I accept the challenge. 1.8 seems to be a change in plenty of things. Hnolai ki tuul, ti sei oni a tiu. But let's continue be realistic and say that the majority of pub players aren't really ready for the possibility of corporations pushed out of PC to be frequenting the pubs. Of course, it might not exactly happen like that but I do believe we will see more PC corps messing around in pubs for a bit.
