I've loved this game from the beginning and have been actively playing since closed beta, but it is impossible for me to just look the other way as entire teams rush to max out their HAV quota and dominate over those who didn't. The core gameplay of dust 1.7 is now so heavily centered around either being in a tank, avoiding tanks or killing tanks that unseasoned players completely forget that this is a team oriented game. It currently takes almost a full team of infantry to coordinate a single tank kill, whereas it only takes one scrub in a modded sica to down a veteran tanker. The asymentrical fighting styles that I see every battle are comical if anything and completely undermines the abilities of good infantrymen when the team has need completely redlined and can't even call an RDV without it getting shot. If CCP is putting all it's efforts into making new suits and weapons before the ballance tipping issue of cheap, high HP, high DPS and highly spammed HAVs are fixed then the only players who stick around long enough to see 2.0 will be the spammers themselves. |

I do FW for the most part on covert and I don't have to contend with tank spam. If you can make the switch you will find much more enjoyable and rewarding battles. Playing pubs after FW is like going from a 5 star restaurant to eating a half eaten bigmac off a McDonalds toilet floor.

Tanks aren't a problem no more
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.
