It should just be that neutral turrets can't be destroyed. I fear that in 1.8 no turret, CRU, or supply depot will be safe. People will farm damage points.

They also shouldn't have AI or give WP for hacking. Their benefit should come from their uuse. The way they are they are just free WP and anyone using them is painting a big target sign on the back of their head.

Have you ever run infantry? There are plenty of AI turrets, yet you don't see infantry crying for yanks to save them by destroying them in case they turn red. Forge Gunners shoot them for WP, same as tankers.

My multiple Logi fittings are what pay my flying bill. I don't recall getting shot by an AI turret in my suit in ages. I honestly thought you had to be in a vehicle to get targeted by AI. I walk up to red turrets all the time. Edit: I've got a single Profile Dampener on many suits and I've got the skill at level 5, perhaps that makes me invisible to them?
Some definitely seem more sensitive than others, most are destroyed. I don't really blame tankers but I do think the way installations work needs to be changed. I would like the idea of calling them in, like vehicles, but balance issues would be a real problem, like vehicles.
