You can set them to use the .25 sec (or whatever) delay which would still make them faster firing than any human player. Also, if you think a modded controller dosen't make a difference you clearly don't understand the mechanics of this game. 1% more damage application makes all the difference in the world in Dust so any advantage conferred by modded controllers is significant. Fun > Realism

The AR didn't suddenly get bad, we just had more options. To Patricks point, everything is OP to someone. I actually think that CCP was smart enough of see through the emotional arguments and dealt a scaled damage nerf instead of finagling with weapon operation mechanics which can quickly nerf a weapon into obscurity.
