Who is planning on using it and what are your build ideas. As for me intend to brick tank the sh*t outta it while using the LR for long rang combat and cloaking if they get too close so i can run away while making the Dr Zoidberg noise xD.
Thanks CCP for making the HMG Heavy viable again :3
That's no excuse to slack off on releasing a heavy laser though =.=

Tank it, cloak and run links. Use laser rifle as a lateral crossbeam to trip up enemy as a distract or soften them up. Also, run a scanner ahead of the main group.
Also also, be bait for a heavy at an indoor objective. Jump out, take some hits and get the enemy to run after you right into the heavy. I call it the "Laurel and Hardy" tactic.
Being able to keep running quickly around the field even with plates is nice.

Scouts aren't speed-assaults. They're scouts.
Speed is only 1 factor in what makes a scout a scout. Their profile is the most important.

Over distance all other scouts arrive at the point faster than the Amarr scout.

Remember that arriving first is not always the best result. My start fit for Gal scout does not have Kinz on it, but I usually get the objective with a bonus +50 from the faster Red who got their first.

Its not a scout though... it's a light assault that can fit a cloak easily, and thus can be bricked out guilt free

Didn't get a chance to test it yet, but I messed around with a scout gk.0 that is similar to what an amarr scout will be.
It's slower than a minmatar assault, but has a tiny profile, a precision enhancer, and tons of tank.
While the amarr scout will have more jobs, this one just sits in a corner near the objective and protects it.
You can't scan it and you can't sneak past it.
