now i was ont eh oceania server in ambush all by myslef. (right after dt when no one is on) i was bored so i decided to make some fun of my own.
now heres what i found.
you can deploy 10 LAVS.....yes 10. befor the limit caps out.
8 dropships
6 tanks.
now. imagine if 10 lavs were all running about form the same side. all carrying heavys with hmg's.
or.......8 assault dropships with xt missiles.
or.........this is a given. tank spam.
my idea is reduce vehicle limits to these values.
6 lavs. 4 dropships 2 to 3 tanks. |

This. The only problem with HAVs right now is that they-Śre spammable.

I do like this idea of reducing the number of vehicles.
However, I would also propose to make the HAVs more expensive either ISK wise or SP wise. It's not right when I have to spend 80 thousand ISK (Advanced standard Amarr Heavy with 2 Complex Damage Modifiers and a Kal Forge Gun) with all those SP put into them as well to take out your barely 40 thousand ISK tank with militia hardeners that takes no SP to get.

This argument will be reversed when the specialized vehicles are released so I say go for ISK.
@OP: If there is fewer tanks then it would be your own teams fault for not being able to deal with them so I have to say +1.

one of my other ideas with vehicles is. you call them in but there is a timer of 1 min. the person with the most sp or isk sinked tank has thiers deployed first then the person with the 2nd most sp/or 2nd most expensive vehicle.
that way millita tanks are deployed last and prevents people with no sp investment from deploying befor a skilled vehicle user.

My problem with this, is how do we stop people from clogging up the vehicle limit with cheap vehicles, blocking the dedicated vehicle pilots from deploying their vehicles? I am for the OP's suggestion if we can iron out this wrinkle.
Best PVE idea I've seen.

I would say go off a point system. Ea team has 12 vehicle points. when expended, no more vehicles can spawn

I like the idea.
How about having different delivery times for vehicles or a combination of the points system and delivery times? It would make sense that the heavier the vehicle the slower the Bolas can deliver them.
LAV 5 sec? Dropship 10 sec? HAV 20 sec?
That way when a team needs to call in HAV's they have to sacrifice precious time that could be used to capture objectives.

I agree, and good idea. Again, the only issue is ppl spamming lav's to block out the use of tanks. I'd also say ea squad has a dedicated amount of points so that ppl running solo get a delay on vehicle orders, and additional delay for those that have already spawned in a vehicle (15-30 sec) |

12-vehicle limit with 32 players, which will go up to 24-vehicle limit with 48 players.

if you have more sp sinked into vehicles than the other guy. you get priority over him. also the cost of the vehicle should play a facotr. so. if you have more sp sinked into vheicles/more expensive vehicle thanthe other guy your vehicle comes first. |

It's not ISK or SP increases that are needed, CCP removed the differences between militia and proto mods in efficiency. Only difference is recharge time. They also removed the module restriction where you could only have one type of a active module per fitting so you couldn't put on double hardeners and other modules aswell.

Why not implement a skill with vehicle command that ensures you get your vehicle first (ie lvl 5 would get spawn before lower levels, and equal 5's would depend on first come first serve) |

With these ideas I am actually considering the idea of removing the MLT vehicles. This would automatically insure that the spammers stop spamming. Only issue is that dropships would be a bigger threat.

Umm, hell, like I mentioned in my post: It doesn't help when my Forge Gun fit costs 80K ISK and their OP militia shite tank only costs 40K ISK.

The only problem i see with vehicles is that not enoufgh players are using them. Gunnlogi out there ??? 2 militia railguntanks can pop it. 2 madrugars??? 2 militia railguns can pop them. But no one is using them they are cheap they dont require SP.everyone can use them. |

Well, the problem is that some of us don't want to have to go around in a turtled out tank. I for one, feel like it is almost cowardly to hide in a no SP required militia cheap tank to get easy kills, which is why I spec into proto Forge Guns to take them out.
