Alright, so yes, i'm bringing up that topic. Yes, i'm beating a dead horse,but i'm doing it anyways.
So, my first thoughts on these, well, pretty much everyone's first thought when they hear "flashbang" is, a device that impairs vision and hearing.
In a game like dust, where deaths matter more than just on the stat page not being able to see, or hear for a period of time may be considered "OP"
Let me provide you with my personal definition of a flashbang.
A flashbang is a device that is required to be thrown, either exploding on impact, or requiring to be "cooked" like a frag grenade. Often used to give you the edge in a 1v1 firefight, or for breaching and clearing a room. They make things like this more tactical. A room may seem impossible to get into, but throw a flashbang, and the situation changes.
I propose multiple variants of a flashbang. A contact flashbang, not as much "bang" but is faster.
A "cooking" variant. More bang, slower boom time.
I definitely don't want these devices to be spammable. Slow to use, and to throw. Takes 2-3 from the time of hitting the trigger for the time it hits the ground.
Basic flashes will flash for only 1 second before vision is 100% normal.
Advanced flashes will stun for 2.5 seconds before vision is 100% normal.
Proto flashes add in a hearing discharge effect. 3.5 seconds of impaired vision, along with 5-10 seconds on loud high pitched ringing in your ears.
All flash bangs have a 8 meter radius. Effects are more powerful near the center, if it blows up in your face, it amplifies the effect by double. The farther away you are though, the weaker the effects. when in the 3 meter edge radius, flashbangs only do 50% efficiency.
Flashbangs will be pretty high in CPU, around 20 for basic, 35, for advanced, 50 for proto, but pretty low for PG. 2, 5, 8.
Additional info
You can stun yourself if too close. within 4 meters of the explosion.
You can bounce them off walls.
They go in the grenade slot.
You can only carry 2.

That said, some kind of EWAR system that makes our screens short out for a few seconds would be within reason. Not just one aspect of technology advances. The suits got more advanced. So would flashbangs.
They wouldn't even have to be called flashbangs, just something that mimics the effects i listed.

I mean total blindness for 1 second. It may not seem long, but it can win a gunfight for you.

You would have to be right next to them to have it be any useHitting them with a locus or flux grenade would help in a 1v1 more Just more of a reason to use advanced level or higher.

But i would say that grenade that causes a visor malfunction would be more believable and they would be made by minmatar I don't care about the lore of the grenade or how it would logically make sense to affect our suit.

I was saying that simply for when a dev would read it and help them out. Also i would call them scrambler grenades. Most things scrambler are amarr.
