Well done i cant even break a armor tank anymore with a proto forge+2 damage mods on it. So tell me why should i keep playing this game? Its literally unplayable at the moment with the current tanks.
-tanks cheaper then dropsuits -AV is garbage even on proto lvl -damage mod nerf= AV nerf -AV grenade count reduced to 2
On ambush you cant play as infantry cause every twatt is spamming vehicles. Skirmish is half playable but as soon my team caps all objectives every 1 on the opposite is getting a sniper rifle or railgun tank. This game would be half enjoyable if vehicles would be banned from ambush all together. There is no excuse or purpose for vehicles there they just do stat padding by spawnkilling. Even if you manage to barricade yourself into a building you cant get out. Cause all exits are camped by tanks.
1.8 will be a huge disaster due to the dropsuit refund. Cause allmost nobody with half a brain will get back into dropsuits. Instead they will dump every single skillpoint into vehicles. The last event is a prime example. I see now twice as much vehicles as before and the numbers are growing with each day. I even go so far that AV should be buffed by 50% just to be half capable to deal with the overwhelming numbers of tanks and derpships that are crawling around.
Oh and one more thing CCP. GG stands for "get good" not "good game".

700k is not cheaper than 150k
Actually my standard 200k is more expenisve than most AV fits, my proto FG is 150k
FG is very good to use, plus new PLC possibly in the works but that requires aim and skill to use
It effects all weapons not just AV weapons
lolnades but frankly they never miss, you can have 3 but you have to give up the homing feature on it so it means you have to aim and hit the vehicle
You could break that armor tank ya know, shot to teh weakspot breaks it alright or even 2 of you will defo kill it
Also adv/proto hulls would sort most of this out because proto would be balanced with proto so that means proto AV would do alot better against basic but frankly its not going to change because we still have std vehicles against proto AV and to make proto AV smash basic would basically be going back to pre 1.7
Also if you dont go back into dropsuits and go into vehicles most will regret it if they change vehicles again and get smashed

You couldn't whine in one of the other "OMG HAV R OP" threads instead of making your own?
I routinely kill the militia tanks in a suit that costs 12K in ambush while playing solo. Think outside that narrowly focused train of thought and adapt to the situation given the skills and weapons available to you.
I also got smoked yesterday in a proto fit Madrugar by 2 people working as a team with AV, part of it was my fault for underestimating how hard a full gambit of proto swarms can hit sometimes. The other part was a coordinated attack by team mates, which is EXACTLY what it should take to kill a well fit ADV tank.

- The only Swarm Launcher users who claimed that Swarm Launchers were fine in 1.7 where they ones using triple damage mods. They are being nerfed by 12% against Armor, more against Shields.
- Every Forge Gunner I know uses at least 1 Damage mod, so Forge Guns are getting at least a 5% nerf against Armor, more against shields.
- AV grenades going from 3 to 2.
On the other hand, in 1.8 you will get WP for DAMAGE against vehicles. Which means if you canGÇÖt kill the tanks, you can at least farm the heck out of them! AV may rival Logi for WP farming now, so there will likely be more people doing it.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

Yes dude I slapped 3 RE`s on the back of an unsuspecting tank earlier, I had them right on the vulnerable engine panel thingy and they only took him down to like 1/3 - 1/2 armour.
(he had full health but all of his hardeners were off). Granted each RE only does 1500 dmg, so x 3 thats 4500 but I would have thought they would get a bonus multiplier for being on that vulnerable back part..... it seems not :(

I don't think you will be seeing good players do this. I would laugh if they did...a vehicle nerf or AV buff is inevitable - at least if CCP wants to maintain a player base.
I personally don't like vehicles. I plan on saving some sp to put into REs, then I'll drive my bpo lav with my bpo scout suit right into some pantywaste tank drivers I-win machine. Until I get bored. Then I'll buy dark souls 2 and play that until they fix the balance. |

It's all about ALPHA DAMAGE
Get a Wiyrkomi BFG, then get up someplace high where you have a nice view of the burn-zone.
Wait for a tank to show up, then wait some more. Don't just start firing at it expecting it to just sit there and die. You need to take it by surprise.
You need to fire a shot at it's weakspot, and don't fire at it while it's hardener is up.
Charge up the BFG and take aim. Once you see that "168%", let that ****** fly. Most of the time the tank will instantly explode. However, they can survive if they are stacking plates and/or extenders, in which case a simple follow up shot anywhere to the tank hull will finish them as they'll have so little Armor left.
However, this is how it currently works. I'm not sure how drastic the Damage Mod nerf and Proficiency change are going to affect Forge Guns. Hopefully one-shotting tanks with a BFG is still possible in 1.8. And if it isn't, well **** you CCP.

The way I see it, the opposite WAS out doing some infantry, but of course the protos and the squads on your team would have none of it and shut them down. So they went to red line sniping and vehicles.
I just dont git it, it amazes me. So everythings fine while you are crushing the the other team. The problem is when they come to crush you back, suddenly you are upset because their equipment nullifies your tactics.
How about, and this is a really radical idea...you dont go and massacre the other team in the first few minutes....and the maybe, just maybe, they will keep fighting on foot instead of giving up and using tanks?
The solutions exist. The problem is that people want to have their cake and eat it too. You want to smash the other team AND have them not be able to do something about it.
I personally love how tanks can be the great equalizer. Im constantly up against people who do nothing else except get into squads and go have 6 vs 1 fights. With the tank, the numbers of the squad get nullified, and I can fight 1 vs 6. |

I don't care how good fehicles are I'm not putting SP into them because I don't enjoy tanks even if they are EZ mode. This is because: the nerf hammer will come down on tanks, Av will eventually get buffed, there are no Amarr tanks or lazor turrets yet!
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

I will try to keep this in really simple terms, so even tankers can follow... If your tank takes multiple enemies to bring it down, it itself needs to take multiple people to operate.

Reason? If your tank takes 2+ people on the enemy side to deal with, the game becomes a question of who spams tanks first and ties up the most enemy players - then the side with the most "remaining" infantry will win by sheer force.
Note: I use a 4k ISK scout-suit to take down MLT tanks operated by bad drivers. But I can confirm that of the selection of AV available in the game, only higher-tier Forge Guns are truly viable against non-bad tankers in non-crappy fits.
Edit: I have run the numbers, and, in Uprising 1.8, my most-used AV-fit will no longer be viable largely due to the reduced number of grenades.

Yesterday I played with guy using Breach Forge Gun. MLT tank 1-2 shots. Standard 2-3. All they need is little help from logi or any other class that can take care of infantry.
Problem is most of the time people instead group up in a place that can be easy defended, safe from tanks are going outside to be stomped. That happens on ambush's "bridge" map. People got 2 or 3 building areas yet they want to be crushed on bridge... |

So in order for that to work the tank must be in your line of sight for 18 secs, not shoting you cause that forge imobalise you while charging and the infantry around you should aswell not shot you. Sure its "possible" but it is aswell possible that i charge into a room full of heavys as scout, only armed with a nova knife and kill them all.
