A built in heat sink is useful for any laser weapon.
But IMO thats all the Amarr assault is good for. Laser Weapons.

Slot load out. People hate having only 3/3 at proto, and while I'd say it's currently by far the best assault, people don't like a bonus that only affects a specific weapon type at the moment. Unfortunately, anything it can do, the GalLogi or Amarr logi can do better. Also, people generally don't like armor tanking when solo due to lack of reps, but in a squad it's pretty great.

I think it is. ScRs are tough to use effectively without them IMO, and LRs greatly benefit from having a longer window of engagement. I don't think they're OP, they require good aim and smart play to maximize their potential, and the speed penalty is quite significant. Escaping to safety when outnumbered is pretty difficult with the Amarr assault.

Because 1.8 hasn't dropped yet to nerf the **** out of all the rifles.

Hey look, no mention of the combat rifle (30% more damage per trigger pull, 102.5% damage profile, lol fittings)
I didn't realize a complex kinetic catalyer worth of speed was small, apparently it is to you.
Listen, the amarr assault is a choice ONLY if you want to use scrambler rifles or laser rifles. That is the only reason anyone uses them. Honestly, outside of FW (or even inside of it) how often do you see the amarr assault ak.0, or even amarr assaults anymore? I see minmatar assaults as often as I see amarr assaults.
OH, and like people choose to ignore... 2 slots > 1 (for instance, 2 x basic armor plates is 170 HP while using 20 CPU and 2 PG with 4% movement penatly vs 135 HP, 30 CPU , 12 PG, 5% movement and over 2xs the cost.)
Also, this huge fitting advantage.. I don't see it... Sure the amarr assault has a TON of CPU, but it is entirely PG limited. I have never even come close to maxing out the CPU (I normally have at least 70-80 left) when I run out of PG.The ak.0 has 8 more PG than the mk.0, that is nothing, especially when best case scenario the prototype scrambler tka e7.75 more PG than the proto type combat rifle.
While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.

Do a forum search, many many threads point this out. And while you're stacking 170 hp over 2 slots, good players are stacking 270 hp with reps. The point being you don't need to be fast when your optimal is upwards of 60m. Kincats on an amarr assault are for a niche build at best.
3. And the PG limited? bro, get your core up. The amarr assault is the EASIEST suit to fit all proto on, hands down, no exceptions at all. Maybe you need to read the patch notes? Assaults are receiving a 5% reduction per level to fitting reqs on weaps. So your point about the ScR costing too much is null and void.

Of course it is, using on anything but an amarr makes incredibly hard to use effectively. Which is why think its an overpowered bonus.

He probably means in the FW zones where actually it is not seen as often as you would think.
I know 2 PIE members who run it, maybe 3 others who join us from outside of corp. But is generally outdone by the Commando Ak.0 or Logi Ak.0 which work better in ocnjunction.

Laser mate.
The overheat bonus is only useful to the Scrambler Rifle if you want to get its ROF nerfed. Otherwise a charge shot and a couple of follow-ups is enought to take anything other than an armour tanked protobear.

With a scrambler you have to chose your engagements. Getting caught in a large, multi target firefight is a nightmare, as you overheat and have to just sit there. Oh, and running around a corner into 2 heavies normally results in an respawn. You can get the most DPS out, but if you don't manage to land all your shots, or if you don't manage your heat, you wind up murdering yourself with overheat

1) Nope, observational bias. Unless we have stats from CCP themselves, all we can state is what we see, not a definitive statement like what you made.
2) Ignores my point entirely, good job. I mean I had to go through some mental hoola-hoops to try to figure out what thehell you were reffering too in the first place. 1slot < 2 slots, my point exactly.
3) You just don't care much for numbers do you. I guess why would you, they might prove you wrong and then you would have to change your view. the ak.0 with MAX SKILLS has 8 more PG than the mk.0 with max skills... that is it. Oh, and if I were to increase my other skills more (ones that reduce CPU usage mind you) then the ak.0 would have closer to 100 spare CPU most of the time. The suit is purely PG limited.
The FACT (see what I did there) that the Scrambler comparitively cost tons of resources doesn't change much with the 5%/lvl to PG/CPU, so my point stands. Even with MAXXED out skills and bonus, the scrambler cost 5.87 PG more than the CR, which eats up 72% of the difference (PG wise) between suits. Like I said, the extra CPU is WORTHLESS.

Yes if you want to be serious about the scrambler rifle, then I would say get a Viziam scrambler rifle and Assault ak.o. I would also recommend getting a laser beam to melt rr users. One more thing, the bonus is nothing without a trigger finger. go for it, I am atm. Have fun rapid firing till your finger gets sore
