Look, don't get me wrong. I might come off as douchey or confrontational, but I'm sincere. This is how CCP works. There are no surprises in the patch notes. If you follow the F&ID subforum even just once a week and look for Blue Posts, you'll see anything they have planned for a new patch well in advance. By the time they publish dev blogs, that's it. You'll get everything you need to know.

Like Soraya said, the patch notes are no place for surprises.

This is how CCP operates with EVE and so far it's what they've done in DUST.

After Uprisings release the forums were a bad place, I'll never forget how CCP screwed up so badly.

Well that's a good thing I suppose but the problem I have is that 3 months without an update and that's it? I had hopes for 1.8 and realistic ones, I didn't expect it to transform the game so much that we won't complain any more. But I expected to have new things to do in game. I'm sort of thinking about staying away from the game till 1.9 whenever that is. I said a few times before that 1.8 and fanfest are going to determine if Dust 514 will be successful or not, now the only card CCP has left is Fanfest. I have been playing other games lol I was looking forward to playing dust again once 1.8 came out but it looks like I'll stick with other games still. I've been playing Blacklight: Retribution plenty , and going through Fallout New Vegas again. I've got plenty of games to occupy myself with till Dust becomes worth playing again. So that is not your problem. Your real problem is you expect so much too soon and a lot of stuff we want needs to undergo balancing passes and all that jazz before we can get our hands on it. Not to mention the fact that CCP needs our input first before implementing any further content or changes. The last time CCP implemented a "surprise" in any of the previous patch notes, the community didn't like it and it just further reinforced the community's opinion that CCP doesn't listen to its player base. So far, CCP implemented almost exactly what we expected to see after reviewing it for the past 3 months. What I'm much more concerned with is the complete lack of feedback that they've taken. They buffed tanks further. That alone is insane. But it's combined with bonuses and stats which we've told them to change a thousand times. Nobody cares about the reload bonus on a Caldari assault, for instance. We've known those for a long time. They even asked for feedback. But they didn't take it. You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

I wonder what CCP considers evolutionary for Dust cuz after nearly a year and 1.8 it really seems like they might need to look up evolution in a dictionary. It would be nice if CCP would release the minimum concurrent user average they are willing to accept. With the forthcoming tank changes, new players will not stand a chance.
