Assaults are the prissyest most spoiled role in dust (generally, not all assaults are like this).
These players come from COD and BF as well as Planet Side and brag about this fact often, frequently making comparisons as if validifies their points about nerfing other suits.
Assaults read the word "versatile" in the suit description and automatically believed that this entitles them to having the best layout and QQ endlessly about logis slots because of it.
Let us look at the varients of the smg for a comparison as to how CCP believes assaults should be played. There is the standard SMG: -Middle ground with no direct advantages (this represents logis and medium frames) There is the breach: -Higher damage but lower ROF (this represents heavies, and the inverse represents scouts and light suits) There is the assault: -Moderate ROF increase and magazine size increase but still does the same damage as the regular varient (this refers to assaults).
Now lets look at the bonuses: Role Bonus: 5% reduction to PG/CPU cost of light/sidearm weapons
Caldari Assault: +5% to reload speed of hybrid railgun light/sidearm weapons per level. Gallente Assault: 5% reduction to hybrid - blaster light/sidearm hip-fire dispersion and kick per level. Minmatar Assault: +5% to projectile light/sidearm clip size per level. Amarr Assault: 5% reduction to laser weaponry heat build-up per level.
I would say those bonuses are pretty versatile. Caldari are dangerous at long and medium range. Gallente are dangerous in CQC and at medium range. Minmatar are dangerous in extended gunfights. Amarr are dangerous for the raw power they can output without stopping.
These bonuses cover 100% of all possible battlefield conditions, each one is specifically designed to pick up where another leaves off.
But unfortunately assaults think they should have all bonuses all at once on a single suit (or at least that's how the prissyest ones act).
They believe the definition of assault means to slay....it doesn't. Assault means to attack,or to apply constant force to defeat defenses. Slaying isn't and shouldn't be limited to just assaults, but i personally believe that assaults should be faster at it and be able to do it for longer periods,as the assault SMG and their current bonuses imply.
You've obviously failed to see the QQ about the Amarr Scout.

Well the Amarr scout (Which I wan't planning to skill in anyways) Bonus is a lot worse than any of the other scouts.
No it really isn't.
Min Scout: 1- at adv it lacks PG to creates builds that are comparable to the other 3 2- in irder to stay off radar at adv it would need to use both its low slots 3- it forces you to use NK (which arent even an min weapon therefore you skill into NK only to find out Min knives will be a different type and you've wasted your SP) - there is no PG reduction for NK and hit detection is terrible. 4- hacking bonus isn't that great, its a small small niche and well so are NK. Its usefulness ambush (1/4 modes) is non-existent. 5- currently you cannot run while charged, it should change but you never know 6- it forces you to pair CR or k5 with ish knifes giving you less flexibility and adaptability 7- are they really that much faster than other scouts- if you use both lows at adv there's no room for a kin cat and kin cats are PG heavy which is also a huge problem.
Cal Scout 1- again poor slot layout problems - 2 lows means even at Proto you need to use both to be stealth. 2- again speed will be a problem due to the two low slots. Massing 3-4 precision mods (c) also makes it paper thin. 3- 2 low slots is far less adaptability and inability to run multitude of set ups like the Amarr and Gal can.
Gal scout There is little problem here, it has great racial bonus (like the Cal) and has the best load out 2-4 (like the Amarr). It has flexibility and adaptability. Armor reps are nice and thats one thing Amarr ppl complain about it having more to the suit.
Amarr scout 1- others have complex type bonuses while the stamina bonus equals out to a std-adv split. If it was at advanced it would be too strong but its more std than adv, so it should be increased. Sure others get complex and at prototype it has to use two low slots for 1 c and 1 e Dampener while the Gal can use one c damp and 1 c card card giving it plenty of stamina and nullifying the bonus, but it doesn't mean the bonus cannot help the many builds Amarr scout can use; the bonus is a great universal one.
There is question about 5% bonus (it should be 7%) but the load out is 2-4 meaning greater flexibility and it has the ability to be anything from a stealth to a light infantry to a speed demon. Most QQ about their bonus because they are forced into the race because they are idiots and therefore want some OP bonus. If the 5% stays there are some options to add a 5% counter hacking bonus which would fit its role or maybe 5% less damage from falls which would again fit its role. 2- people say it looks ugly, i think the Cal looks too feminine but its only opinions. People just want its bonus to be OP, and make ridiculous suggestions.
Most QQ is done by Amarr, but their suits at adv and Proto are so flexible and quite frankly are superior to Min and Cal. Cal has a huge niche and therefore no one complains because the bonus is great and will be the best scout in 1.8. Amarr people complain they can't be a Gal when neither can the Cal or the Min, but they are just trying to gain an advantage which I guess is playing the game.
The Min scout has the major flaws (pin holed builds, their adv suit is a mess PG wise) but people see it as a little used niche suit which isn't for serious players but rather those trying to have fun.
