Not a fan. Even if they don't have a BPO LAV it's not very expensive. It's silly that something so cheap can take out my ~400,000+ Isk Gunnlogi.
Just today, I was in a Caldari FW match on my Tank alt, and wouldn't you guess it we began to lose fast. We got Redlined half way through the match and I was pretty much stuck in my Redline with my XT-201 Gunnlogi biding my time. I couldn't really leave the Redline because I knew I would quickly die and I didn't see much reason to recall it, so I just sat there taking pot shots at any ADSs(I actually took one down) or Tanks that got near.
I was just minding my own business, getting Redlined, hardly being a threat at all and then all of a sudden a certain Dust 514 Youtube personality comes flying over a hill in an RE strapped LAV and blows me up with it. You know, in my own deployment zone, while getting Redlined.
I admit, I was a little bitter, I rather like his videos and didn't really expect him scrubbing me clean like that.
I'm over it now(I seriously can not hold a grudge), but talk about rubbing salt in the wound.
But until AV or Tanks get fixed or whatever I don't have that much of a problem with them. I can count the number of times I've successfully been killed by an RE strapped LAV on one hand.

Where did I say that I was worried about losing them? I bought those expensive Gunnlogi fits for the sole purpose for fighting in Caldari FW, and I was more than prepared to lose them.
JLAVs are just a cheap, nearly skill-less tactic.
