Myself and another decided it would be worth a laugh to bust out our dual Plasma cannon commando's last night and it was a laugh a second.
Goodness gracious great balls of fire!!!
If you too feel like a break from the tedious grind of the 1 million heavies with RRs clone event feel free to join up with me later today as we unleash the fury across the battlefield.
I can be found in Chosen Matari or Carbon 7 intel channels and I'll leave the squad open as well so feel free to come along.
Warning:-
Running Plasma cannons can result in huge loss of ISK, severe drop in KDR, epic bragging rights, high fives through the mic, erectile hardening, really are you reading this? Just break out the Plasma cannon already, nothing says up yours to a protobear tryhard like a plasma cannon to the face!!!

Can you use the plasma cannon as a high powered single shot shotgun? Would love to pop some heavies.
What level do Plasma Cannons get decent? Can I kill heavies with Adv?
I've always wanted to try this on my scout but not sure if it is viable. Definitely would make AV scout a possibility. |

Use plasma cannon.
The splash is enough to 1 hit them, better odds than the 2 second TTK of MD.

This has happened to me, guy killed me with a PLC in a commando suit from 65 meters away.
My only regret? Not taking a snapshot so I can glorify the person who did it.

Ehhh well to me Plasma Cannons have always been like a big single shot grenade launcher.
I don't use the proto versions as I don't know how if they are worth the SP but the Advanced is a pretty good step up IMO but I always found it to be a bit lacklustre in performance although big on fun. It's definitely a good light AV weapon when you can connect with shields but against hardened armour you're better off using bad language. But against infantry it's super effective!!!
I used to run a Dragonfly scout with a PLC in 1.6 but currently it's not really viableGǪ. although if you slapped a bunch of RE's onto the target then shot it with the PLCGǪ.. might have to try that out.
I feel the PLC needs something, maybe the projectile could move faster or something.
