I was getting kills with the standard Laser Rifle in an A-I suit. I'm pretty sure I'm doing my part. (Not my fault people can't kill my suit, lol.)

In order to kill 1,000,000 clones we'll need the community to play 95 matches an hour at 150 clones killed per match. Which means we only need about 285 active players in game every hour. That's a very small amount of players needed to complete the goal at ideal conditions. Despite injector trolling, which more often than not provides an extra kill on the reviver, I don't see this as a problem.
I've been inactive for nearly a month but intend on playing this weekend just to help the community. I look forward to killing injector using trolls. |

I agree, we'll be lucky to hit the 1mil mark. I played for 2 minutes before work, and right when I spawned into the Ambush I was surrounded by proto-logi love, and the enemies were flying Pythons and driving tanks. Every clown out there wants to pad their K/D, so it's business as usual.
There will be bullets. ACR+SMG

Than use an alt to run starter fits and use sidearms only.
Maybe create a channel to run q syncs killing proto squads vs get killed squads..

to be honest, I care more about WP then sp. WP=isk SP=broken suits/vehicles.

trollogi revved me in Domination just now, then proceeded to dual rep me and another blue. After shooting him several times, and meleeing him, he wasn't getting the message, so I cooked a grenade right in front of him and sent myself to kingdom come.
Each time I am revved, I think I'll cook a grenade and not let go.

Im running this event like i tryed to run the mauler event, BPO heavy with a basic HMG BPO SMG cardreg and damage mod. I kill and die quite allot.

m twiggz is right-on. Essentially, CCP is giving the community 1M free SP--2M, if you bought a discounted Omega booster (~$2.50, if you buy the 20k aurum pack for $9.99), like the devs kept mentioning...
With the 1M - 2M free SP and dropsuit command refund, most players should have at least 2M - 5M SP to reinvest, on top of whatever they've been saving.
I plan to keep Gallie scout and Amarr logi at advanced, and put the rest into dropsuit upgrades and vehicle command.
My other dropsuit is a Python.

I played eight matches this morning, with the exception of one, proto or not, both sides were allowing the other to flip the letter back and forth having some really good gun fights. Militia gear, BPO's, proto, tanks. All matches had about 10 clones left between sides, most fun I've had on this game in a LONG time...

On day one, I did my part on my main, had fun with a bunch of people I know coming up with randomly bad fittings and enjoyed it more than I have this game since the Battle for Caldari Prime.

Between Friday and last night, i played well over 50 matches at almost every time of day. Almost all were ambush. Not one fatal error and very few outright stomps. Although i often wished for better blue buddies (my new term for them), i couldn't complain as the body count rose.

I had a ton of fun with lolfits on my alts too. In case you were curious, the following 3 suits do not work very well:
Militia heavy with shotgun and nova knife
ANY suit with a plasma cannon, especially a scout
(Did not have a good enough commando suit to fit dual PLC so that one is still up for grabs)
Commando with dual mass drivers... Surprised at that one. Have to try it again when they buff the MD later this month.

Were you using just two MD, or was it a MD and Assault MD, MD and Breach MD, two Assault MD, Breach and an Assault, or two Breach? I've thought about an Exo-5 and an Assault, start with the Base and switch to Assault to finish them off. Might try that with a Minmatar Commando come 1.8.

I think the event was a great success (even if the bar was set on "average"). I got a friend playing again, after half a year. He had the feeling that he finally could contribute at least something, cause he has no FPS experience and never could get many kills.
I think that players who die often in the hard learning process should get some bonus as a standard, not only on events. they should always have a chance to have at least the feeling of contributing to the game. |

yeah, scout with plasma cannon is such a bad idea. I gave it a try and have decided to never use a pc again.
but anyways, yeah, this event was a lot of fun. There was one domination map where we decided to spawn all with shotguns. For awhile the enemy team kept killing us with scramblers and stuff but they eventually caught on and about half of them transferred to shotguns also. It was crazy fun when we all started fighting for the dom point. So much death!! ^_^

Fave fit: STD commando with two plasma cannons. Total rubbish, but kept using it so ppl could get lolz too. And the odd kill I did get? Made it more worthwhile. Quite a few vehicle kills too, LAVs and a few HAVs.
Serious note: you can't switch weapon to your other plasma cannon fast enough to really gain an advantage with two of them. That and the silly long reload time to reload two of them.
Anyway, had fun with it.
Also maxed out the Gallente scout skill tree for range bonus, and ran two complex range amplifiers on a STD scout, 14K fit. Awesome situational awareness with this fit. Lots of hilarious multi-RE kills. |
