I fully agree. I got informed about million clone event from my corp mail.
I was like: WUUT?
Then I went to forum. I found the entry but it was not where I would have expected. Because in forum not the newest news (*eyeroll*) is on the top, the message with the newest answer is at the top.
So for me it would be nice to have a board where news are sorted to insert date and not the date the last response was made. |

I'd be interested in hearing how you would implement this - generally we try to bring the "latest" news through all of the Official Channels simultaneously (Dev Blogs, Social Media, Forum Announcements, etc). Any discussion we have that isn't through these avenues can instantly be considered the "latest news"...and I'm not sure discussing what I had for lunch is necessarily worthy of a Dev Blog.
Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich with Avocado, FYI.
But really - would be interested in getting your feedback on that. :) First off you could make sticky threads on all race items, like one for Gallente dropsuits, then one for weapons, with all stats and bonuses... I know that you post newer weapons and the new suits, but it would be easier to click on said race, and have sub categories with lore, dropsuits, weapons ect... that way new, and also vet players know what they want to plan out for a build and what weapons they want to use. You don't even have a reliable character planner, and some of the player made ones are not user friendly, and new players will not know about them until they have wasted their SP on things, oh lets say corporation.... Like you used to get people to skill into on the older introduction. Not everyone knows what a hybrid weapon is, and what race makes it. K.I.S.S Keep It Simple Stupid.... It is hard to be shocked by some of the things you guys do and don't do anymore, but honestly, I am shocked you don't already have this on the forums... |

youtube is great for that kind of stuff. It's actually not. People are better off browsing the forums. COUNTERED lol. you mind elaborating brah? People can often read faster than the amount of time it takes to watch a video retaining the same amount of information. Let's say there was aa 3 paragraph article here and you decided to make a video reading those paragraphs, it would take you longer to relay that information since you have to focus on reading and speaking while your peer can just read and process it faster by utilizing less resources in the brain. Also, you could make some speculations on your videos to attract views, but that would only increase the amount of time being spent watching a video rather than moving on to read another article containing possibly more information. I could really go more in depth, but I'm lazy. It's science. Your videos are, however, to my liking so keep making them. I agree that its far quicker to read the material. I do read most if not all info. but I get a fair amount of my stuff from videos while doing other things. I drive for work and listen to videos from youtube channels like Vsauce Dnews rev3games etc.. video is just another medium to convey info. each having their own flaws. I wouldn't rule one out for the other.

It's just that logibro consistently breaks news of skills like the new side arm operation skills and even states that some of them are officially going to happen and others may or may not. It feels like a official source and is not always a easy way for everyone to know. there are other examples of this from other devs. Frankly if you have something set in stone you need to release that information as early as possible.

This is a very good point. If a Dev knows that they can safely talk about a particular topic in skype or on irc, the natural question is: Why hasn't that information already been shared with the playerbase?
It seems the most natural thing in the world that when new information is available an update would get posted on the forums. I'm sure knowing the facts would save a lot of peeps a lot of posting and allow them to focus on more relevant conversations.
Questions i'm always asking myself: 'what are the relevant topics right now?', 'What would be a productive area to explore in conversation/debate with other players such that the conversation might be of some use to CCP wrt the topics that they're mulling over right now?'
I feel that there is little to no guidance from CCP here on the forums that helps me answer those questions.
I support SP rollover.
